“A Day at the Zoo”

One day, the class of Kindergarten, with their teacher,
decided to go to the zoo. Little did they know, they are
about to see different animals on their respective
habitats.

First, they go to the place of snakes. A big snake

crawls to the tree where it lives.

Next they go to the place of the elephants. An elephant

eats food with its very long nose.

Next, the class goes to the eagles’ cage. An eagle

spreads its very big wings.

Then, they go to the lake of the fishes. A big fish swims

in the lake.

After that, they go to the woodland of the monkeys. A

baby monkey carefully climbs on a tree.

Finally, they go to the den of the lions, the king of the

jungle. The king lion roars its loudest voice.

By the end of the day, the children asked the teacher.

“Are the animals in the zoo feeling fine?”

The teacher said, “the trainers inside the zoo take care
of all the animals so they are all fine.”

We, as humans, can help and love animals by taking

care of them.

A. Activity (student will do the task)

Now, I will group you into 6 groups. I will give
you the name of the animals that found in the
story. The animals are snake, elephant, eagle,
fish, monkey, and lion. Each group will have

Action words are words we use to describe
things like our movements activities. Also
action word tells about what is someone or
something is doing. We also call it as verb. A
verb tells what we do.
For example:
- Kick - cries
- Sit - run - cooks
- Eat - jump
Now look at this, sentence
a. My mother cooks my favorite dinner.
- What does the mother do? - sweeps
- Correct! The word cooks is a word that
tells an action.
b. The janitor sweeps the floor.

Kids, always remember that actions words or (student will do the task)

say.” You will raise your hands if you want to
answer. The first one who raise their hands will
execute what I said. If you execute it correctly
you will gain a rewards from me.
