Dance the Night Away With This 30-Minute Jazz-Funk Class
Get into the groove and get ready to dance the night away with this fun, jazz-funk class from dance choreographer Frank Soares. Assisted by Mina Huynh and Suzie Elias, this highly energetic video dance workout class is bound to have you moving and grooving.
To start things off, Soares has the class walk it out with a fiery march, getting the heart rate elevated by walking with style. Featuring tons of fierce confidence, the class incorporates upper body movements by coordinating creative shapes, lines, and angles with lower body grooves. Simply put, this workout is so much fun. You'll feel like you're performing center stage — and you might even forget that you're working out.
Focusing on a total body experience, the class also incorporates side lunges with fun, nostalgic grooves. You'll also spice things up by adding some bold poses to give your body some quick recovery as active rest. As the music in the class shifts from Motown and disco vibes to funk and jazz themes, you're bound to keep your heart rate up throughout. And we love how Soares includes a quick squat challenge.
With less than 13 minutes left, the class continues to glide forward with a full-body focus. The theme switches to a heavy jazz-inspired combination, influenced by the legendary choreographer, Bob Fosse.
"Make it a performance!" Soares says, "Even if it's for your dog at home, they enjoy it too." Forgot the choreography already? No worries!
