About this audiobook
Lotus DuPree is a kick to my gut and a wrench in my plans from the moment our eyes meet.
I promised myself I wouldn't trust a woman again, but I've never wanted anyone the way I want Lo. She's not the plan I made, but she's the risk I have to take.
A warrior. A baller. The one they call Gladiator. Kenan Ross charged into my life smelling all good, looking even better and snatching my breath from the moment we met.
The last thing I need is him. I'm working on me. Facing my pain and conquering my demons.
I've seen what trusting a man gets you. I. Don't. Have. Time. For. This. But he just keeps coming for me. Keeps knocking down my defenses and stealing my excuses one by one. He never gives up, and now . . . I'm not sure I want him to.
Contains mature themes.

Age gap, single parent, sport romance
Kenan and Lotus are the perfect match for each other. I loved their chemistry and slow-burn attraction since seeing them at the start of the series. It was endearing to see Kenan all shy and unsure when it came to Lotus and she took on the confident role in the relationship to start. The character development was beautifully written as always. Kennedy Ryan has a way of writing difficult situations that help grow characters and make the reader think while staying in the story.
The spice was off the charts and the respect between Kenan and Lotus made it that much more heated. The rollercoaster of events these two go through makes their love story that much more addictive to read about. They both stood by each other and nothing phased them at all. They never had any over-the-top emotional fights just for the sake of it and everything was dealt with as adults. Some difficult scenes were very well done and I loved their HEA.
Seeing some side characters from other series was amazing, I love Grip and Bristol so much so I might have to do a reread. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was a good book. This book is a book I would read again

Kenan and Lotus!
I have some very nonfictional feelings for these fictional characters. SWOON!!! My knees are weak. The number of times I squealed reading this...Kenan & Lotus forever ♾️♾️♾️. The Songs of Solomon verses. Kenan's patience. Lotus and her tattoos. The height difference. The chemistry. I loved their story so much! This was tender and healing and electric and passionate and so damn beautiful. My heart is swollen! ?❤️
Rating: 5 stars ? - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really liked this book. It was a good, heartwarming story. I like the progression of Kenan and Lotus. Parts of it were very real life situations. Personally, again, personally and MY OPINION and without giving it away, the scenes which she performed certain "things", didn't add to the story line. It was really good even without it. No disrespect to the author. Looking forward to another book soon.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I don't know I was expecting more of this book because when I met Lotus in the first book she was feisty and funny. I mean I liked it but I guess I was expecting more of her. And Kenan well he was an enigma and I enjoyed getting to know him their love story was cute I don't know why I kept expecting more of them. I did enjoy the read though but to me the other 2 books are a lot more interesting and exciting. I still can't get out of my head Jared he is my imperfectly perfect man.
It was a great read though! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another great book in an amazingly raw and emotional series.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was my least favorite of the 3. For him to be a this big professional basketball player he was a bit of a wimp. I also struggled with the way the daughter was acting. She was supposed to be about 13 and she was wined like an 8 yr old.
It was a good story and I love Kennedy Ryan’s story writing, mostly. I would still recommend this series. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Ok, so I’ve been reading some really shallow romance lately lol sue me and coming of toxicity of the after series I really really loved this. There is an instant but WELL ESTABLISHED connection between the characters.
They have discussions about real things, differ in opinions, and all the other stuff real people do instead of falling in love after 37 seconds. They both have personalities outside of being one another’s love interest. They have some serious stuff going on and I feel like it’s handled realistically and not just brushed over as a plot point which is so rare when romance characters have trauma. Also, no arbitrary drama for drama’s sake.
This was pretty well written and made me realize I’ve been setting my bar too low for romance novels lately. Also, the female reader read the hell out of this book. I also appreciate that both actors were able to express vernacular in a realistic and not at all cringe way.
