Mathieu Matégot’s Baghdad Portable Lamp (1954), reissued by Gubi in 2024, remains a design classic. Matégot’s pioneering material and process, Rigitulle, combines metal tubing with perforated metal to give the lamp its distinctive origami-like shape and playful comet-shaped tip.
