Celebrating 150 years
Louis Poulsen creates pieces designed to shape light. For over a century, the company has worked with internationally renowned designers to make fixtures that define and enhance spaces – from Poul Henningsen’s iconic PH5 Pendant Lamp and PH Artichoke Lamp to Verner Panton’s Panthella Lamp.
Louis Poulsen is an innovative Danish company that believes that light can be shaped – transforming the entire atmosphere of a space with just the flip of a switch. The company’s journey began in the late 19th century with a lifelong collaboration with renowned architect and designer Poul Henningsen, who elevated lighting to the realm of great design with pieces like the PH Lamp and the Artichoke Lamp – elegant, sculptural, breathtaking designs that offered glare-free, beautifully diffused light.
Since then, Louis Poulsen has continued to create designs inspired by Henningsen’s principles: beautifully crafted lighting that’s soft, warm, and inviting – tailored to reflect and support the rhythm of natural light. The company has worked with designers from around the world, from pioneers like Arne Jacobsen and Verner Panton to contemporaries like Øivind Slaatto and Clara von Zweigbergk. Louis Poulsen has also continued to innovate with outdoor and portable lighting, utilizing LED technology and introducing new colors.
