Fox host says there was 'heavy petting' between Trump and Jill Biden at Notre Dame
Former Donald Trump economic advisor Larry Kudlow said there was 'outright flirtation' between first lady Jill Biden and Donald Trump at the reopening ceremony for Notre Dame over the weekend.
Kudlow, who served as director of the National Economic Council under Trump, made the bold statement about the intimate moment and drew guffaws from his Fox News cohosts by referencing grinning images from inside the cathedral.
It happened during a segment that tried to contrast the outgoing administration's acceptance of Trump during the transition period despite calling him a threat to democracy and top figures comparing him to Adolph Hitler in the last days of the election.
'I just want to go back inside the church for a minute, take a careful look at that. That wasn’t nice conversation, that was outright flirtation,' said Kudlow, 77, speaking to co-panelists on 'Outnumbered' over images of Trump leaning over to talk to the president's wife.
'Oh my goodness!' exclaimed cohost Harris Faulkner.
'That was almost heavy duty petting at the G7 level. I've been there and seen these things before,' said Kudlow, including an odd reference to the grop of powerful democracies.
That remark drew an 'oh my god' from someone off screen.
Former Trump economic advisor Larry Kudlow said there was 'outright flirtation' between first lady Jill Biden and President-elect Donald Trump
'I'm just saying, the evidence is mounting,' he continued.
Then he referenced President Biden's Oval Office meeting with Trump after the election, where Biden spoke of the importance of the peaceful transition of power not long after calling Trump a dire threat.
'Go back when Joe met with Trump in the Oval Office and [in front of the] great fire in the background with the two of them sitting, looking the happiest he has looked in years. Why? Because he voted for Trump also.'
The crack by Trump's former aide, who said recently he isn't rejoining the administration, asserts a form of dominance over the outgoing president with the unverified claim of affection.
There are no indications that Biden or the first lady voted for Trump.
Immediately after Kudlow spoke, former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany interjected: 'Larry with a hot take for the day – and when I say hot take, no pun intended, Emily,' she said.
Cohost Emily Compagno told Kudlow: 'You nailed it,' after a segment that showed an image of Jill Biden sporting red on Election Day, launching a meme that posited she voted for Biden amid reported chill between Biden and Kamala Harris.
Then Compagno gushed about Trump: 'He is charming and lovely and wonderful and kind and warm and funny and all of these things, so of course she’s going to smile at him because he is a wonderful and normal human.'
Kudlow, a former Trump economic advisor, compared the exchange to 'heavy duty petting'
'Larry with a hot take for the day,' said former Trump White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany
'Oh my goodness!' exclaimed cohost Harris Faulkner
Many claimed that Jill looked incredibly animated during the cordial rendezvous - as the partisan pair leaned into one another and made small talk in the City of Love
Donald Trump has made a suggestive statement about a viral intimate moment he shared with Jill Biden during a trip to Notre Dame with the above post on Truth Social
Faulkner weighed in with her own long-distance diagnosis, telling Kudlow that 'outside of some of the extracurricular activity you described, I do believe that in these moments you do want to gravitate – clearly she gravitates towards power.'
Kudlow wasn't the only one trying to make something of the brief exchange at Notre Dame. Trump posted an image of it on his Truth Social fight and used it to try to hawk his new fragrance, for sale for both women and men for $199 per bottle.
'Here are my new Trump Perfumes & Colognes! I call them Fight, Fight, Fight, because they represent us WINNING,' Trump posted. 'Great Christmas gifts for the family.'
DailyMail.com has reached out to the White House for comment.
The thrice-married Kudlow's eyebrow-raising accusation came as Biden was coming in for criticism from insiders for a 'cavalier' attitude in the last days of his administration, ceding the ground to Trump and making it seem like he 'is president already.'
The warm exchange came inside the cathedral while the two were seated next to each other. The first lady was seated next to daughter Ashley Biden. It was a display of unity reflecting the president's meeting with Trump. Former first lady Melania Trump did not attend the traditional tea with her predecessor, sending a note instead.
Trump launched a PR offsensive with an appearance on NBC's 'Meet the Press' where he said he would not demand that his picks Kash Patel as FBI Director or Pam Bondi as attorney general pursue 'retribution' against his political enemies.
Trump didn't reveal any particular interest in prosecuting the Bidens, saying 'I'm really looking to make our country successful.' He said members of the House January 6 Committee should be in jail, but said he wouldn't direct his AG or the FBI Director to probe them. 'I think they'll have to look at that,' he said, but 'I'm not going to' order them to do so, he said.
