Christine Werthman

Christine is the managing editor for Billboard, where she has worked since 2017. She collaborates daily with the copy, design, photo and production teams to ensure editorial products are finalized in time for publication. When she is not creating deadlines and editorial calendars, she writes about pop and rock music, with past stories focusing on artists such as Paramore and topics like the role of glam in the music industry. Prior to joining Billboard, Christine spent time at CMJ, XXL and Complex, also as the managing editor. She studied magazine journalism, music history and music industry as an undergraduate at Syracuse University and received her master’s degree in music, media and cultural studies from New York University. Her top New York concerts include D’Angelo at the Apollo Theater, Céline Dion at Barclays Center and Lightning Bolt at 285 Kent.
