She also assigns and edits the music-driven section of the magazine, The Sound, ensuring well-rounded and all-inclusive coverage of the artists, trends and hit songs readers need to know. When she’s not writing or editing, she can be found taping Billboard News interviews with top talent in pop and rock or reporting live from concerts, award shows and the occasional red carpet.
A longtime vinyl enthusiast, Havens has become an expert in the space, regularly reporting on record pressing plants across the world and tracking the format’s consumption and release trends. She has also expanded her purview to music management, launching Billboard’s annual Managers To Watch list in 2022 that spotlights the industry’s brightest managers behind the year’s biggest breakout stars.
