Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 8 servings

  • 4 (1-ounce) slices whole wheat bread, cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 5 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spread bread cubes on a baking sheet.

  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, combine oil, parsley, chives, basil, lemon juice, and garlic in a small blender or food processor; blend until smooth.

  4. Transfer hot bread cubes to a medium bowl. Drizzle oil mixture over bread cubes; toss to coat. Transfer to the baking sheet and bake, stirring once, until crisp and golden around edges, about 13 minutes. Let cool.
