Every time I go to Sam’s Club, I can’t help but mosey on over to the bakery section. Its cupcakes have served many parties over the years and the sourdough loaves are a weekly staple in my house. Along with the warehouse retailer’s permanent stock, it is always baking up something new that becomes an instant hit, like this crave-worthy set of mini fruit tarts.

With fall on the horizon, the store is filling its shelves with a variety of seasonal treats, including the return of the Holiday Muffin Variety Pack, Fall Cutout Cookies, and Pumpkin Spice Cake Balls. However, one new addition has been getting rave reviews from shoppers, and it might be worth a special trip to your local Sam's Club to grab it.

Member’s Mark Pumpkin Crumb Cake

When Sam’s Club released its Member’s Mark New York Style Crumb Cakes earlier this year, the cakes were overnight crowd-pleasers. Now, Sam’s Club members are again running to the retailer to get their hands on a 50-ounce Member’s Mark Pumpkin Crumb Cake. The impressive dessert, which serves 24 servings, features a moist pumpkin cake infused with a blend of cozy, warm spices. It’s topped with a buttery, crunchy crumble and a dusting of powdered sugar. For just $12.98, it's no surprise that the cakes are selling out fast.

We first spotted the cake on the @Samsclubmembers account, where fans quickly shared their excitement about the fall-inspired treat. “Can confirm–this is SO good and it’s huge!!!! The pumpkin is super subtle. I wish it was a little stronger, but my husband hates pumpkin, and he likes this, so I call it a win,” said one Instagrammer.

Some commenters were already planning ahead. “Oh my! I hope this is available for Thanksgiving,” said one fan. “Can you freeze it?” replied another.

While the comment section is mainly filled with positive reviews, there were a few people who seemed unsure about the dessert. One follower noted that the cake “looks super dense and almost like it's not done in the middle.” They continued, “I got a croissant loaf from Sam's Club recently and it was raw in the middle. So I'm having a hard time trusting the baked goods from there.”

That said, the overwhelming number of fans who said it tasted delicious far outweighed any criticism. We recommend always checking for the freshest date on the package, and if yours does happen to be a bit underdone or dry, don’t be afraid to warm it up. Simply pop it into a cold oven set at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 5-10 minutes, keeping a close eye on it. Serve it with a warm cup of coffee for a delicious mid-morning or afternoon break.

Member’s Mark Pumpkin Crumb Cakes are a seasonal offering, so it’s unclear how long they will be available. Be sure to head to your local store or add it to your express delivery list before they sell out. And don’t worry if you miss them. We’ve got you covered with a homemade pumpkin crumb cake recipe that will not only taste great but also make your house smell amazing.
