Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 24 servings

  • 1 ½ cups packed brown sugar

  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • 1 cup peanut butter

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

  • ¼ cup cornstarch

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ¾ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).

  2. Cream together brown sugar and butter. Beat in peanut butter, eggs, and vanilla. Add flour, cornstarch, baking soda, salt, and baking powder. Stir in chocolate chips.

  3. Drop 1 1/2 teaspoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten slightly because they do not spread much while baking.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
