Original recipe (1X) yields 12 servings 6 tablespoons shortening 1 cup chopped onions 1 cup diced celery 3 ½ cups matzo farfel 1 ¼ cups water 10 ounces chicken broth 2 large eggs 2 tablespoons ground paprika 1 teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper Directions Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
