Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings ½ cup white sugar ½ cup cider vinegar ¼ cup cold water 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon mustard seed ½ teaspoon celery seed 8 cups shredded cabbage ½ cup chopped celery ½ cup chopped green bell pepper 1 tablespoon chopped pimento pepper Directions In a jar with lid, combine the sugar, vinegar, water, salt, mustard seed and celery seed. Cover tightly and shake vigorously until sugar is dissolved. Chill dressing for several hours or overnight.
