Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 12 servings

  • ¾ cup milk

  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package butterscotch instant pudding mix

  • ½ cup sour apple schnapps (such as DeKuyper® Sour Apple Pucker ®)

  • 2 tablespoons butterscotch schnapps (such as DeKuyper® Buttershots®)

  • 2 tablespoons vodka

  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip®), thawed

Directions

  1. Beat milk and pudding mix together in a bowl until smooth; add apple schnapps, butterscotch schnapps, and vodka and stir until blended. Fold whipped topping into pudding mixture until incorporated. Spoon the pudding mixture into shot glasses or disposable 'party shot' cups.

Cooks Notes:

I love making pudding shots in miniature ice cream cones to take to cookouts. I line a disposable pan with about 1/4-pound of rice, place my miniature cones in the rice, so the rice supports nthem and they won't tip over while transporting. Then I take a plastic storage bag, roll it down about half way, fill it with my pudding mixture, roll it back up, squeeze the pudding to one corner and then cut the corner off. This makes a quick and easy way to fill the cones.
