As a food writer, it's my job to stay on top of what's new and exciting in stores (I know, it's a hard job, but someone's gotta do it). Naturally, a lot of products come onto my radar, but only a few really capture my full attention. Consider this one of those products. But what do you expect when two fan-favorite brands come together to create an irresistible summer treat and go on sale at our go-to big box store, Costco? Behold, the most exciting thing coming to the freezer aisle this spring.

Chipwich and Girl Scouts Release New Thin Mints Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches

If you've ever stuck a box of Thin Mints in the freezer, you know that it is the best way to enjoy what is arguably the best Girl Scouts cookie. It appears that the Girl Scouts have been taking notes. The beloved brand is no stranger to collaborations—from dipped ice cream cones to Sam's Club bakery items—but its latest may just be its greatest: an ice cream sandwich collab with the king of ice cream sandwiches, Chipwich.

Who needs the ice cream truck when you have a freezer full of ice cream sandwiches made with premium mint ice cream sandwiched between chocolate-mint cookies and rolled in mini chocolate chips? And while the collab has started popping up in stores like CVS, Hannaford, and Fairway in three-packs, there's one place you can buy them when you really want to stock up: Costco.

I first spotted these on the r/Costco Reddit page, where one user posted their review of the product. Then, another user on Instagram posted their spotting of the product in their local Costco. Where a box of three will cost you between $5 and $8 at a grocery store, a box of 10 is just $11.99 at Costco—now that's a deal you can't beat.

And early reviews suggest this product does not disappoint. "Very chocolatey mint good. Would recommend if you're an ice cream and Thin Mint fan," wrote one Reddit user, eliciting responses like "Yeah, these are banging," and "I just picked up a few boxes of these. Omg, YUM! The ice cream isn't hard, and neither are the cookies."

It appears these are a limited-time offering, so if you weren't planning a Costco run this week, you may just want to rethink those plans.
