It’s always a pleasure to cook a meal from scratch, but there are definitely those days (or weeks!) when we're short on time, fatigued and simply don’t have the stamina to make something fresh at home. Luckily, there are some easy, ready-to-eat, and frozen dinners at Costco that customers particularly enjoy, according to a recent Reddit thread.

While Costco offers a rich, diverse selection of frozen foods for appetizers, meal-prepping, instant sides, or protein-toppers (such as Costco’s Italian-style meatballs in Rao’s sauce), here are a few frozen favorites suggested by Redditors for speedy and delicious dinners.

Reddit Users Favorite Costco Freezer Finds

Sold in bulk, Costco’s Kirkland brand garlic butter shrimp is an easy choice for seafood lovers. A Redditor suzyjane14 commented in the thread, “Kirkland Signature Garlic Butter shrimp contains two 1-pound bags of shrimp. You put the frozen shrimp in a skillet and the butter sauce melts off.” Its versatility, since it tastes great with other foods including pasta, rice, soup, or salad, can also elevate a dish for a heartier meal. “While that cooked, I cooked spaghetti noodles and served the shrimp over the noodles….so delicious and easy and quick,” they continued.

Another user, ShyViolet825, said, “I love the pizza and the lasagna. I prefer the lasagna with the beef, not the sausage. The meatballs are great with BBQ or marinara in the crockpot.”

Bibigo’s wontons came up a few times in the thread. Reddit user NorvaJ said, “The Bibigo chicken and cilantro wontons are my go-to for a quick healthy meal. Cook them up in a pan and finish with a little teriyaki sauce. Serve with frozen vegetables and/or rice.” For a filling dinner, add other frozen foods, like the Kirkland Garlic Butter Shrimp mentioned earlier and cauliflower rice. Redditor TopLahman added, “I like the cauliflower fried rice. I throw in an egg and some shrimp, and if I have them, the bibigo cilantro wontons to bulk it up.”

The frozen lightly breaded chicken breast chunks at Costco are delicious for lunch or dinner. “The Kirkland brand Chicken Breast Chunks are some of the best frozen food I've ever had,” said Reddit user Rogue_Squadron. “Also, you can easily toss them in different sauces so it doesn't feel like you are eating the same thing all the time,” the user noted, suggesting Bachan's Barbecue (an Allrecipes Allstars favorite), BW3's wing sauce, Kinder's BBQ (not the zero sugar one) and Olive Garden’s salad dressing, as sauces and condiments that complement the nuggets well.
