Food News and Trends Grocery The Costco Favorite My Dad Can't Live Without He's been eating it multiple times a week for decades. It might sound crazy, but my sister and I loved errands because it meant taking an adventure to our favorite place: Costco. Between the giant carts, free samples, and the door checkers drawing smiley faces on our receipts, Costco was basically an amusement park. And when we went there, I knew we were getting all the makings of my favorite lunch, which we'd feast on as soon as we got home. That's because every time—and I mean every time—we'd stock up on the Kirkland Signature Italian Style Beef Meatballs. Costco The Best Frozen Meatballs Come From Costco When it comes to taste, value, and convenience, you would be hard-pressed to find a better deal than the Kirkland brand cooked Italian Style Beef Meatballs. They are moist, even if you use the microwave to defrost them (which our family often did in a pinch). They are well-seasoned, but neutral enough to pair well with a variety of sauces—I'm talking marinara sauce, BBQ sauce, teriyaki sauce, brown gravy, or even grape jelly. And most important of all, they're delicious. Growing up, we'd have these meatballs with spaghetti and Rao's marinara sauce (also bought in bulk at Costco) at least once a week. To this day, my dad probably eats it at least 1-2 times a week—and I'm not exaggerating. On any given weekday, if there are no other leftovers in the fridge, I can all but guarantee my dad is cooking up some concoction with the Kirkland Meatballs. Meatball parmesan, meatball soup, meatball sandwiches, meatballs mixed into leftover Indian curry—my dad's love for these knows no bounds and there's (almost) no dish he won't add them to. These meatballs have been the one constant in our freezer for decades. And don't just take it from me—many Reddit users on the popular r/Costco forum agree. "Kirkland Italian Style Meatballs deserve all the praise in the world," declares one thread. "We eat them like once a week," adds another commenter. One of my fellow Allrecipes editors, Bridget, agrees: "These meatballs live in my freezer! From quick lunches to speedy spaghetti night dinners, these come in clutch multiple times a week, and everyone in the family loves them." So if you're looking for a crowd-pleasing shortcut and weeknight time-saver (and really who isn't?), grab a bag of these meatballs on your next Costco run. You can thank me—and my dad—later.
