Al Martino (born Jasper Cini; October 7, 1927 – October 13, 2009) was an American singer and actor. He had his greatest success as a singer between the early 1950s and mid-1970s, being described as "one of the great Italian American pop crooners", and also became well known as an actor, particularly for his role as singer Johnny Fontane in The Godfather.
Jasper "Al" Cini was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The name Jasper was an anglicisation of his father's name, Gasparino. His parents were immigrants from Abruzzo, Italy, who ran a construction business, and while growing up he worked alongside his brothers as a bricklayer. He was inspired to become a singer by emulating artists such as Al Jolson and Perry Como, and by the success of a family friend, Alfredo Cocozza, who had changed his name to Mario Lanza.
After serving with the United States Marine Corps in World War II, during which he was part of, and injured in, the Iwo Jima invasion, Cini began his singing career. Encouraged by Lanza, he adopted the stage name Al Martino—based on the name of his good friend Lorraine Cianfrani (née Losavio)'s husband Alfred Martin Cianfrani—and began singing in local nightclubs. In 1948 he moved to New York City, recorded some sides for the Jubilee label, and in 1952 won first place on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts television program with a performance of Como's hit "If".
What Now My Love may refer to:
"What Now, My Love?" is the English title of a popular song whose original French version, "Et maintenant" (English: "And Now") was written in 1961 by composer Gilbert Bécaud and lyricist Pierre Delanoë. The recurring musical pattern in the background is the Bolero by Ravel. English lyrics and the title were written by Carl Sigman.
Early English versions of the song were recorded by Lee Morgan, Shirley Bassey and Ben E. King.
Gilbert Bécaud's original version of this song topped French chart in 1961. Director Claude Lelouch used the song at the climax of his 1974 film Toute une vie, which led to it being released in America under the title And Now My Love.
US Top 40 covers include Sonny & Cher (#14 US, #13 UK) in 1966, Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass instrumentally in the same year, and Mitch Ryder the following year. On January 14, 1973, Elvis Presley performed the song before a live audience of 1 billion people, as part of his satellite show, "Aloha from Hawaii", which was beamed to 43 countries via INTELSAT.
What Now My Love is the sixth album by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, released in 1966. It remained at #1 on the Billboard Album chart for nine weeks, the longest of any album released by the group.
By this album, the Brass were playing only a token Mexican-themed song or two per album, the rest of the tracks being pop hits and Broadway tunes.
Two songs from the album found use as American TV show themes: "Brasilia" was used as the theme for the game show The Face Is Familiar, and "So What's New?" for Lloyd Thaxton's syndicated rock music program.
This was the fourth consecutive (and final) of the TJB albums to feature an attractive woman on the cover, a typical 1960s easy-listening hook. The "model" is Sandra Moss, wife of Herb's A&M Records partner Jerry Moss.

"...here inside me there's enough love for us both to share...".
Al Martino performs his hit "Volare" in this rare music video, filmed in the Italian Alps in 1976. This renditon of "Volare" climbed to Number 1 on the disco charts in France, Germany and Italy. Recorded in the early days of the disco music genre, this pioneering video was produced by Mike Curb, who is now recording Tim McCraw, Faith Hill, Wynona and many other Nashville country music superstars. For his performance on this and other music videos, Al was given the "Jackie O " award in Rome, Italy. My dad was pretty cool!
Artist: Al Martino / Song: Mary In the Morning Al Martino performs "Mary In the Morning" with Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. LYRICS Nothing's quite as pretty as Mary in the morning When through a sleepy haze I see her lying there Soft as the rain that falls on summer flowers Warm as the sunlight shining on her golden hair When I awake and see her there so close beside me I want to take her in my arms, the ache is there so deep inside me And nothing's quite as pretty as Mary in the morning Chasing a rainbow in her dreams so far away And when she turns to touch me, I kiss her face so softly Then my Mary wakes to love another day And Mary's there in sunny days or stormy weather She doesn't care 'cause right or wrong the love we share, we share together And nothing's quite as pretty as Mary in ...

Agnetha always put plenty of passion into her singing and performances. She was never afraid to show her emotions on stage. Here she gets the chance to put plenty of passion into this promo video with this lucky actor. There's no holding back from her, but it's all tastefully done. Agnetha shows here she has put the recent dark years behind her, and is ready for love again. I guess there were plenty of retakes to get it right. From My Colouring Book (2004). Lyrics: What now my love? Now that you left me, How can I live through another day? Watching my dreams turning to ashes, And my hopes into bits of clay, Once I could see, once I could feel Now I am numb, I've become unreal I walk the night, without a goal Stripped of my heart, my soul What now my love? You always hurt the one you love
The one you shouldn't hurt at all
you always take the sweetest rose
And crush it until the petals fall
You always break the kindest heart
with a hasty word you can't recall
So if I broke your heart last night
I'ts because I love you most of all
You always brak the kindest heart
With a hasty word you can't recall
So if I broke your heart last night
It's because I love you most of all
It's because I love you most of all
