Ian Scott Anderson, MBE (born 10 August 1947) is a Scottish-born musician, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist best known for his work as the lead vocalist, flautist and acoustic guitarist of British rock band Jethro Tull. Anderson plays several other musical instruments, including keyboards, bass guitar, bouzouki, balalaika, saxophone, harmonica, and a variety of whistles. His solo work began with the 1983 album Walk into Light, and since then he has released another five works, including the sequel of Jethro Tull album Thick as a Brick (1972) in 2012, entitled Thick as a Brick 2.
Ian Anderson was born the youngest of three siblings. His father, James Anderson, ran the RSA Boiler Fluid Company in East Port, Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. Anderson spent the first part of his childhood in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was influenced by his father's big band and jazz records and the emergence of rock music, though disenchanted with the "show biz" style of early American rock and roll stars like Elvis Presley.
Robert John Gurney Anderson (16 June 1925 – 11 January 2005), known as Ian Anderson, was a former President of the Legislative Council of the Isle of Man.
Mr Anderson was born in Glencross, Rathmullan, County Donegal, Ireland, in 1925. He left school at the age of 13 and joined the Belfast Technical College before moving to the Isle of Man in 1946. In 1963 Ian was elected as a member of Patrick commissioners and remained as such until being elected as member of the House of Keys for Glenfaba. In 1982 he was elevated to the Legislative Council and remained a member until retiring from Tynwald in 1993. In 1988 he was elected as the, second ever non-Governor, President of the Legislative Council. He served until 1990 when the constitution was altered and Sir Charles Kerruish became ex officio President. Ian Anderson also held many Ministerial-level appointments during his career. He died on 11 January 2005.
His son is David Anderson MHK.
Ian Gregory Anderson (born 14 October 1948, in Horsham) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
Anderson, who was recruited to Essendon from Miga Lake, debuted in 1967 and finished the year with 21 goals. A forward, he kicked a career best tally of seven goals against Hawthorn in the opening round of the 1968 season. He didn't play in 1969 or 1970 due to war service in Vietnam, where he fought as a Private with the 8th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment. When he returned he spent one final season at Essendon before moving to Western Australia and representing his adopted state at the 1972 Perth Carnival.
Toy Soldiers: Cold War is Signal Studios' follow-up sequel to the action/strategy video game, Toy Soldiers. Toy Soldiers: Cold War features 1980s-era military technology, and is based around the idea of military aggression escalating between the United States and the USSR. Toy Soldiers: Cold War features a blend of third-person action and strategy, similar to the original Toy Soldiers, but with added features and gameplay mechanics.
Toy Soldiers: Cold War features similar gameplay to the original game, with players trying to repel a Soviet invasion across a diorama towards a toybox in a child's bedroom. Compared to the original game which featured generic World War I battlefields, diorama settings range from jungles and deserts to real world locations such as the streets of Paris and the Great Pyramids.
The game features boss levels with certain large enemies, such as the Antanov winged tank, the Typhoon class submarine and the final boss, the Russian project R.I.S.E and a number of changes and additions to the gameplay. For example, while players are still able to control vehicles such as tanks or helicopter gunships on the battlefield, time using these vehicles is limited by a battery charge which can be replenished either by collecting floating battery icons or returning the vehicle to its recharge stand. In addition, killstreaks are rewarded with special one-time attacks called "Barrages", which include being given the ability to call an airstrike or control an invincible Rambo-inspired commando for a limited time.
A toy soldier is a miniature figurine that represents a soldier.
Toy soldier(s) may also refer to:
Toy Soldiers is an American Rock N' Roll band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The group's sound melds elements of folk, roots rock, blues, and soul.
Toy Soldiers formed in 2007 as a two-piece with Ron Gallo as the primary songwriter, alongside former drummer Mike Baurer. The name Toy Soldiers was taken from a painting on display at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Though the band's sound was initially lo-fi and sparse, they eventually expanded to as large as ten members, including keyboards, horns, and backing vocalists. The band's membership remained fluid at times, with some members occasionally meeting each other for the first time as they took the stage for shows. Their debut album, Whisper Down the Lane, was initially self-released in the fall of 2009, but after signing with MAD Dragon Records, the group re-recorded several songs for the re-release of the album. MAD Dragon reissued the record on May 18, 2010. Critic Richie Unterberger noted the album's gospel and old-time music influences and likened Gallo's singing to that of Lou Reed and Marc Bolan. The group accompanied the CD release with several live dates, including as a headliner and with Midlake. The group played the WXPN Xponential Music Festival in July 2010.
Ian Hugh Myddleton Anderson (1953 – 2 February 2011) was a leading figure on the British far-right in the 1980s and 1990s.
Anderson was born in Hillingdon. Anderson's involvement in politics began in the mid-1970s when he was close to certain elements on the right of the Conservative Party, particularly the Monday Club .
Anderson viewed himself as a 'respectable' figure in right wing circles and spent some time at the University of Oxford on two separate occasions studying zoology.
Anderson joined the National Front in the late 1970s and was initially seen as a supporter of National Organiser Martin Webster. However, when the Political Soldier faction, led by figures such as Nick Griffin and Derek Holland, moved against Webster and his assistant Michael Salt, Anderson sided with the rebels and used his casting vote to ensure that Webster and Salt were expelled for mismanagement.

What if the 1963 movie Jason of the Argonauts had smoother stop-motion animation for its effects scenes made by the famous Ray Harryhausen? I used an AI program to interpolate the scene to a higher frame rate to see what that would look like. You liked a similar video I did about 1933's King Kong, so I thought I'd do a sequel of sorts. What do you think of the results? ✨ Programs used: -I used Flowframes with RIFE to interpolate the framerate from 23.98 fps to 191.74 fps and then used FFMPEG to reduce that back to 60 fps. This prom proposal carried out by a group of friends in Findlay, Ohio, is like something from medieval England. Gavin Gallig enlisted the help of his friends RJ Coldren, Ethan Bauer, and Damon Gasser in asking his 17-year-old girlfriend Gianna Masterlasco to prom. The footage recorded by the girl's dad, Patrick Masterlasco, on April 25 shows the group turn up outside the house as if they were on horseback with Gillig as the prince. Coldren then reads out a message which ends with Gianna Masterlasco of Liberty-Benton High School being asked to prom. The princess's dad told Newsflare: "Got a text to open the front door and was not expecting this. They had one rehearsal and decided to just go for it. "The messenger also just said everything from his head because he had no script to read...

History is a strange thing. In many cases, the only things we know about history are things that have been captured in photos or in books. I looked in the mirror then
saw my face in a dream.
With eyes sharp as diamonds
Blessed with clear vision
Things were not as they seemed
Black and White Television
stared back from the wall.
Is that my life?
Am I here at all?
Down in the High Road, see
motor cavalcades glide
past shopwindow dressers
desperately covering
all the parts they can hide.
Black and White Television
stares at me again.
Is that their lives?
Even dummies pretend.
The truth is so hard to deny.
The answer is here
The screen never lies.
Black and White Television.
It's the right television.
Show me it's all a dream tonight.
The boys on the corner sulk
in their Suzuki haze.
In primary colours
(each year more startling)
but they still fade to grey
on Black and White Television.
It's sweeping the land.
Is that your life?
Do you understand?
Black and White Television
Back the right television
Black and White Television
Hard to fight television
Show me it's all a dream
