Did You Know In BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: THE ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS…
We get to see something that wasn’t actually shown in the original movie. This movie shows viewers, first hand, the events of the evening Prince Adam was turned into The Beast, revealing that in the Disney Animation continuity, it occurred at Christmas time. The original 1991 movie does regale the story of The Prince’s curse and being turned into a Beast, but it is only done through voiceover and through use of a series of stained glass windows that give imagery to what is happening.

Did You Know In BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: THE ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS…
When The Beast is waiting for Belle and preparing to listen to her Christmas song, he looks in the mirror and licks his teeth. The way he does this is actually reminiscent of the way Gaston does so before he proposes to Belle in the first “Beauty and the Beast” movie.

Why did 1 million people die? - The Great Famine in Ireland ''Gorta Mór''
Great Hunger or simply the Famine and outside Ireland as the Irish Potato Famine, was a period of starvation and disease in Ireland lasting from 1845 to 1852 that constituted a historical social crisis which subsequently had a major impact on Irish society and history as a whole.
The Great Famine in Ireland led to the loss of millions of lives and the emigration of many. This deeply impacted Ireland's demographic structure, causing a significant change in historical terms. The death of over a million people and the emigration of more than a million caused a profound shift in Ireland's demographic makeup. The famine period brought about profound changes in social and economic structures. Many peasant families became unable to afford the high rents paid to landowners, leading to criticism of the rental system. The famine exacerbated the gap between social classes and contributed to the evolution of the social structure.
The Great Famine in Ireland, occurring between 1845 and 1852, is considered one of the most tragic events in Irish history. The primary cause of this disaster was the widespread destruction of the potato harvest by a fungal disease known as "Phytophthora infestans." Potatoes were the main source of food in Ireland at that time, and this damage resulted in the loss of a significant portion of the population's primary food source. The economic, social, and political conditions in Ireland at that time further worsened the famine. Ireland was under the dominion of England, and most Irish peasants paid rent to English landowners. Additionally, due to England's policies, Ireland's agricultural products were often exported to England, making it difficult for the Irish people to access their own products.
During the famine, more than a million people died, and over a million had to leave the country. This massive wave of migration significantly impacted Ireland's population structure and social fabric. This catastrophe left deep scars in Ireland's history and remained a painful memory in the minds of the Irish people for a long time. The famine period also brought about radical changes in Ireland's social and political structure, influencing Ireland's struggle for independence. The Great Famine is not just a historical event but a tragedy that left profound marks in the memory of a nation. This period stands as a significant milestone in Ireland's historical, cultural, and political evolution.

The Great Famine (Irish: an Gorta Mór [ənˠ ˈɡɔɾˠt̪ˠə ˈmˠoːɾˠ]), also known within Ireland as the Great Hunger or simply the Famine and outside Ireland as the Irish Potato Famine,[1][2] was a period of starvation and disease in Ireland lasting from 1845 to 1852 that constituted a historical social crisis which subsequently had a major impact on Irish society and history as a whole.[3] The most severely affected areas were in the western and southern parts of Ireland--where the Irish language was dominant--and hence the period was contemporaneously known in Irish as an Drochshaol,[4] which literally translates to "the bad life" and loosely translates to "the hard times". The worst year of the famine was 1847, which became known as "Black '47".[5][6] During the Great Hunger, roughly 1 million people died and more than 1 million more fled the country,[7] causing the country's population to fall by 20–25% (in some towns, populations fell as much as 67%) between 1841 and 1871. Between 1845 and 1855, at least 2.1 million people left Ireland, primarily on packet ships but also on steamboats and barques—one of the greatest exoduses from a single island in history.
The proximate cause of the famine was a potato blight[13] that infected potato crops throughout Europe during the 1840s, causing an additional 100,000 deaths outside Ireland and influencing much of the unrest in the widespread European Revolutions of 1848.
Crop loss in 1845 has been estimated at anywhere from to as high as one-half of cultivated acreage.

Preceded by Irish Famine (1740–1741) (Bliain an Áir)
Succeeded by Irish Famine, 1879 (An Gorta Beag)
