Mister Ed Excerpt
A horse is a horse... of course, of course. But in the case of Mister Ed, he's so much more!
A stallion with the gift of the gab, Mister Ed burst out of the gates in 1961 and became one of the most beloved four-legged stars in television history. The plain-speaking palomino and his owner Wilbur Post have a timeless appeal that has earned the show fans across the globe.

The Strange History of Mr. Ed the Talking Horse
In the 1960s, the story of a man and his talking horse captivated the globe. The show was Mister Ed, and it followed the hijinks of a talking horse named Mr. Ed and his keeper Wilbur Post. The show became an instant classic, and the character of Ed has popped up everywhere from rap music and comedy sketches to children's shows.
Behind the character of Mr. Ed was a real horse. His name was Bamboo Harvester and he was already famous when he stepped onto the Hollywood scene. TV’s most famous horse was born and bred a star. Lighthearted and humorous at times, stubborn and imperious on occasion, the real Mr. Ed was a true trail blazer.

Mister Ed might very well be one of the most famous horses to ever trot across the Earth. The show that bears his namesake concerns his relationship with Wilbur his owner and the unique relationship that is shared between the two. You see, Mister Ed is no ordinary horse. He can talk and hold full-on conversations but only chooses to with Wilbur.
This unique situation sounds great but in reality, it causes Wilbur quite a bit of trouble. Not only does his wife question the amount of time that he spends with the horse and begin to feel neglected, but Mister Ed frequently ventures out his stable and causes Wilbur more than a few headaches and messes to clean up after.
Facts Verse is going to take a deeper look at the show that had one of the most infectious theme songs of all time. We didn't even have to sing it for it to be now stuck in your head, right? We'll delve into some of the more mysterious elements of the show. For example, did you know that there was more than one horse that went by Mr. Ed? And, did you know that there are 3 different theories how Mr. Ed died? Who the heck played his voice in the first place?
A horse is a horse of course of course
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is of course unless the horse
Is the famous Mister Ed!
We apologize if that theme song is now stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Well, we're not too sorry, because it's now stuck in our heads too!
You aren't going to want to miss this video. We'll answer these questions and more and show you a side of Mr. Ed you've never seen before.
