James ParkVC (1835 – 14 June 1858) was a Scottish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.
James Park (1857–1946) was a New Zealand geologist, director of school of mines, university professor and writer. He was born in Kintore, Aberdeenshire, Scotland in 1857.
His son Air Commodore Sir Keith Park had a distinguished career in the Royal Air Force in two world wars.
St James Park is a footballstadium in Exeter and is the home of Exeter City F.C. The stadium is served by the St James Park railway station which is right next to the ground (the line runs behind the Grandstand). (It has been adopted by the club who contribute to its upkeep, under the community rail scheme, and its railings have been painted in the red and white of Exeter's strip).
The current capacity of St James Park is 8,541, however the record attendance is 20,984, who watched Exeter lose 4–2 to Sunderland in an FA Cup Sixth Round Replay in 1931.

History
In 1654 the land was owned by Lady Anne Clifford who rented it out for fattening pigs. The proceeds went to a charity set up to pay for the apprenticeship of a poor child from the parish of St Stephen, an arrangement that was supposed to be renewed "yearly to the world's end." Pigs were resident for nearly 250 years and in later times, were joined by other tenants of low repute. Prior to 1904, Exeter United FC played its games here and after merging with St. Sidwell's United, the ground was leased to the newly formed Exeter City FC with the new contract stipulating that "no menageries, shows, circuses or steam roundabouts" were to be allowed on the premises.
The park has a small lake, St. James's Park Lake, with two islands, West Island, and Duck Island, which is named for the lake's collection of waterfowl. This includes a resident colony of pelicans, which has been a feature of the park since the first gift of the birds from a Russian ambassador in 1664. The Blue Bridge across the lake affords a view west towards Buckingham Palace framed by trees. Looking east the view includes the Swire fountain to the north of Duck Island and, past the lake, the grounds known as the Horse Guards Parade, with the Horse Guards building, the Old War Office building, and Whitehall Court progressively behind. To the south of Duck Island is the Tiffany fountain situated on Pelican Rock, and past the lake is the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, with the London Eye, the Shell Tower, and The Shard progressively behind.
James Park is an American tech entrepreneur. He co-founded and is CEO of Fitbit. He was named in 2015 among Fortune magazine's 40 Under 40, an annual ranking of the most influential young people in business. With a net worth of $660 million estimated by Forbes, he is ranked #29 in the magazine's America's Richest Entrepreneurs Under 40" in 2015.
Early life
Park is of Korean descent. He started undergraduate study at Harvard in computer science but dropped out.
Fitbit
He co-founded Fitbit with Eric Friedman in April 2007 after according to a Forbes profile "realizing the potential of sensors such as accelerometers paired with smaller and smaller devices". The co-founders started with an initial investment of $400,000 contributed by themselves and others but realized one year after starting that more funds would be needed for a product launch. They were able to get additional funding from SoftTech and True Ventures. Park found the initial stages of developing the product to be tough especially in finding a hardware manufacturer. He recalled the search for the right supplier and organizing the production line in Asia left the company "pretty close to being dead."
Exeter was a late 18th century Georgian house near Leesburg, Virginia, that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places from 1973 to August 1980, when it was destroyed by fire and subsequently de-listed from the National Register. The house and its dependencies were unusually elaborate for northern Virginia.
History
The house was built about 1790 by Dr. Wilson Cary Selden on a property that he had inherited from his first wife, Mary Mason Selden, who was a niece of George Mason. Selden and his second wife, Eleanor Love Selden, expanded the property as the centerpiece of a plantation. In 1835 Selden's son Wilson Cary Selden, Jr. inherited the property, but sold it in 1846 to General George Rust, who expanded the house to the rear. The property played a role in the American Civil War when the Battle of Ball's Bluff was fought on the plantation's lands, with Confederate General Jubal Early using the house as a headquarters. The house had fallen into disrepair by the 1970s, and was destroyed by fire in August 1980.
