Natural Selection 2: Darwinism for Dummies
Criken and the space crew take on aliens of all sizes and girths in this action packed gameplay montage of Natural Selection 2. In particular, we discovered tentacle whips are completely terrifying, Onos can fit in just about every small place that comes to mind, and that Gorges are great for belly drifting and building space dicks.
In all serious though we found Natural Selection 2 pretty fun. It has a unique mix between fps and rts action combined with a lot of strategic elements and fun alien races. Available on steam here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/4920/

Darwin and Natural Selection: Crash Course History of Science #22
"Survival of the Fittest" sounds like a great WWE show but today we're talking about that phrase as it relates to Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace. Darwin and Wallace are at the heart of understanding evolution and natural selection. Today, Hank talks about their wonderful (if not seasick inducing) trips around the world.

Darwin's Theory of Evolution: Natural Selection
Most people in the western world used to have a solid idea about our origins: all living organisms were deliberately formed by a single creator. Then, in 1831, a 22-year-old student decided to go on an expedition that would change everything. Upon returning home Darwin came up with his theory of natural selection — a process through which living organisms adapt, reproduce and change. The evolution of peppered moths in the United Kingdom during the industrial revolution is a great example of this process.

Charles Darwin's Idea: Descent With Modification
Now that we've learned about molecules and cells and the simplest forms of life, we are ready to understand how all of life on earth evolved from a single common ancestor. Given our newfound knowledge about the chromosomal theory of inheritance, combined with the theory of natural selection, which is how evolution propagates, we will see how our understanding of biology transformed in the 19th century, thanks to the work of Charles Darwin, and other contemporaries. There are those who say that evolution is "just a theory", but beyond the fact that this stems from a misunderstanding of what the word "theory" means in science, it also has to do with rampant misconceptions about what this model states. So let's learn the basics regarding evolution by natural selection!
