Graham William Nash, OBE (born 2 February 1942) is a British singer-songwriter known for his light tenor voice and for his songwriting contributions with the British pop group The Hollies, and with the folk-rock super group Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. A dual citizen of the United Kingdom and United States, Nash became an American citizen on 14 August 1978.
Nash is a photography collector and a published photographer. He was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1997 and as a member of The Hollies in 2010.
Nash was born in 1942 in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, his mother having been evacuated there from the Nashes' hometown of Salford, Lancashire because of the Second World War. The family subsequently returned to Salford, where Graham grew up. In the early 1960s he co-founded The Hollies, one of the UK's most successful pop groups, with schoolfriend Allan Clarke. Credited on the first album as "Group Leader", he occasionally took a lead vocal. Nash was featured vocally on "Just One Look" in 1964, and sang his first lead vocal on the original Hollies song "To You My Love" on the band's second album In The Hollies Style (1964). He then progressed to often singing featured bridge vocals on Hollies recordings; "So Lonely", "I've Been Wrong", "Pay You Back With Interest". Also by 1966 Nash was providing a few solo lead vocals on Hollies albums & then from 1967 also on B-sides to singles, notably "On a Carousel" and "Carrie Anne".
Graham Nash (born 25 December 1979) is Countdown's 43rd Champion and the 11th Champion of Champions. His current record stands at 15 wins out of 15; one of only two unbeaten champions in the show's history. He later appeared on GrandSlam, losing to Dee Voce.
Countdown
Graham made his debut on 20 July 2000 and won the maximum eight consecutive heat games making him the number one seed. However his points total was beaten by David Williams and he was knocked down to second seed.
However Williams fell in the semi-final, while Nash won his match against Clare Wright. This set up a final between Graham and Matthew Turner.
It was a close and nervous final, as both players had numerous words disallowed. The points were level until Graham got 901 correctly on the numbers game and Matthew only got 900. This ten point lead remained until the last round, where Matthew could tie the game on the conundrum. But it was Graham who spotted RENEWABLE in six seconds and became the Series 43 Countdown champion.
The song was written using the same method with which the band wrote "Feeling This"; namely, DeLonge and Hoppus would discuss themes and then set off to separate rooms of the home to write alone. The two would first have a discussion about the themes of the song "so that we were on the same page," and then they would go away to write, putting both parts together at the end. "Mark was always really, really good with words, so a lot of times I would ask him for help with things, to get help with how I say things better […] But we never really explained song meanings to each other," said DeLonge. Hoppus referenced Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas at the request of Barker, who directed the line toward his then-wife, Shanna Moakler.
25 is the third studio album by English singer and songwriter Adele. It was released on 20 November 2015, through XL Recordings. Following the release and international success of her second studio album 21 (2011), Adele considered quitting the music industry and going out on a positive note. However, she decided to take a hiatus instead and raise her son. During her sabbatical, she suffered from writer's block and rescheduled studio sessions for a new album, fearing she had lost her ability to write songs. In 2013, Adele had a breakthrough and the material that eventually became 25 manifested, with writing and recording continuing through 2015.
Titled as a reflection of her life and frame of mind at 25 years old, 25 is a "make-up record". The album's lyrical content features themes of Adele "yearning for her old self, her nostalgia", and "melancholia about the passage of time" according to an interview with Adele by Rolling Stone, as well as themes of motherhood and regret. In contrast to Adele's previous work, the production of 25 incorporated the use of electronic elements and creative rhythmic patterns, with elements of 1980s R&B and organs. Like 21, Adele collaborated with producer and songwriter Paul Epworth and Ryan Tedder, along with new collaborations with Max Martin and Shellback, Greg Kurstin, Danger Mouse, the Smeezingtons, Samuel Dixon, and Tobias Jesso Jr.

How does it feel when life doesn't seem real And you're floating about on your own Your life is uncertain so you draw the curtain Pretending there's nobody home But don't theorize, look in your eyes They can't tell lies Though you may disguise what you see The mirror is free We once had a savior but by our behavior The one that was worth it is gone Song birds are talking and the runners are walking A Prodigal son is coming home Don't theorize look in his eyes They won't tell lies But if he defies what you see He'll give you the key Be yourself, be yourself Be yourself, be yourself We needed a tutor so built a computer And we programmed ourselves not to see The truth and the lying the dead and the dying A silent majority Don't theorize look in their eyes Are they telling lies? The ones that they learn on T.V What a way to be free Be yourself, be yourself Free yourself, free yourself (Yes you can) See yourself, see yourself (Then you can) Free yourself, free yourself (Why don't you?) Be yourself , be yourself
