Robert Arthur "Bob" Mould (born October 16, 1960) is an American musician, principally known for his work as guitarist, vocalist and songwriter for alternative rock bands Hüsker Dü in the 1980s and Sugar in the 1990s.
Forming in 1979, Hüsker Dü first gained notice as a punk rock group with a series of recordings on the independent label SST Records. In 1986, they signed with a major record label (Warner Bros. Records), but found only modest commercial success. However, they were later often cited as one of the key influences on 1990s alternative rock, including bands such as Nirvana and the Pixies.
In the late 1980s, Hüsker Dü broke up acrimoniously amid members' drug abuse, personal problems, disputes over songwriting credits, musical direction, and the suicide of the band's manager, David Savoy. Mould and Grant Hart, the band's other songwriter and vocalist, still take occasional jabs at each other in the press, though the two briefly revisited their Hüsker Dü back catalog together at a 2004 benefit concert for an ailing friend, the late Karl Mueller of Soul Asylum.
Bob Mould (sometimes referred to as Hubcap) is the third solo album by former Hüsker Dü and Sugar guitarist and singer Bob Mould. It was recorded and mixed between September & November 1995 and released in April 1996. Mould played all of the instruments on the album himself, and the sleeve notes declare, "This one is for me." In the place of traditional band credits, the sleeve states, "Bob Mould is Bob Mould."
The song "Dog on Fire," which was chosen to be the theme song of The Daily Show, was originally written for this album.

Track 14 and 15 are the B-Sides of the "Fort Knox, King Solomon" promo single (Rykodisc VRCD 3342), which was released in June 1996. The two live tracks were recorded at First Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 25th, 1996.
The art, dialogue, narrative style and even the format of the comics (larger page-counts, half-page advertisements, etc.) were deliberately anachronistic for the time of publication, thus the issues served as a tribute, and in some cases a gentle satire, to the books and creators of DC Comics during the Silver Age of Comic Books.
Issues
Note that all the issue titles were prefixed with "Silver Age," to distinguish them from the monthly series DC produced, even though only Flash and Green Lantern were in print at the time (though starring later incarnations of the heroes). The current Justice League book was then titled JLA and Teen Titans was being published as simply 'The Titans'.
For the release of Silver Age, the trio embarked on a series of concerts where, in addition to material from the new album and a few Hüsker Dü songs, they played the entirety of Sugar's Copper Blue in order. Copper Blue was simultaneously released in a 20th anniversary edition.

BOB MOULD Silver Age Guitar Cover
Silver Age is the tenth solo album from former Hüsker Dü and Sugar frontman Bob Mould. Mould was joined on bass by Jason Narducy and on drums by Superchunk's Jon Wurster.
I couldn't find any live footage of Bob playing this, but I think it's played with a capo on the first fret. The low "F" chord sounds to me like there's open strings going on, rather than a barre chord. That's how I hear it anyways.

The spring is over, no more golden race All the ease and the peace Has suddenly faded away I live a century filled with sorrow and sin There's no rights, no wrong Such a godless state I'm in Another live saint gonna take my place You say a cheap prayer To my pretty face, yeah You better pray for rain, yeah Never too old to contain my rage The silver age, the silver age This is how I'm gonna spend my days Gonna fight, gonna fuck, gonna feed Gonna walk away Stupid little kid wanna hate my game I don't need a spot in your hall of fame, no What a fucking game, yo I'm wiping my face of the shit you say In the silver age I walk away singing The silver age is calling out a melody Breaking me was hard to do I had to break away from you But since you found my switch I've been falling on my face And now it comes so clear The love sigh I hear you sing
