Harlow's popularity rivaled and soon surpassed that of her MGM colleagues Joan Crawford and Norma Shearer. She had become one of the biggest movie stars in the world by the late 1930s, often nicknamed the "Blond Bombshell" and the "Platinum Blonde", and popular for her "Laughing Vamp" movie persona.
She died during the filming of Saratoga in 1937 at the age of 26. The film was completed using doubles and released a little over a month after Harlow's death. The American Film Institute ranked her as the 22nd greatest female star of classic Hollywood cinema.
The biggest hitversion of the song was recorded by The Four Aces, backed by the Jack Pleis Orchestra. It was recorded on October 18, 1955 and released in the United States by Decca Records as catalog number 29725 (as a 78 rpm record) and 9-29275 (as a 45 rpm record). The quartet's version went to number 20 on The Best Seller List. Frankie Laine also recorded a version that scored a big success in the United Kingdom, reaching number 1 on the UK Singles Chart for four weeks. In the UK, Ronnie Hilton also charted, at number 30, with another version of the song.
"A Woman in Love (It's Not Me)" is the title of a song recorded by American rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. It was released in June 1981 as the second single from their album Hard Promises. It peaked at number 79 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.
"A Woman in Love" is a song written by Curtis Wright and Doug Millett, and recorded by American country music singer Ronnie Milsap. It was released in September 1989 as the third single from the album Stranger Things Have Happened. It was his last song to reach number one on the U.S. country singles chart. It tells of man who is confused with the way women in love behave. For an example, during the chorus, Ronnie sings the following line: "You never know with a woman in love."
Success and reception
"A Woman in Love" was Milsap's 53rd single to be released and the third track from the albumStranger Things Have Happened, the song became his last number-one single, which was accompanied by a music video for the song.
Curtis Wright, who had just quit Vern Gosdin's road band, wrote the song in 1989. He said that when Doug Millett presented him with the idea, he was initially uninterested in writing the song, but "it kind of opened up like a book". Wright was still concerned that its hook was too similar to Earl Thomas Conley's 1988 single "What She Is (Is a Woman in Love)", and thought that the song was not suited for Milsap's style.
Harlow is a predominantly new town and local government district in the west of Essex, England. Situated on the border with Hertfordshire, it occupies a large area of land on the left bank of the upper Stort Valley, which has been made navigable through other towns and features a canal section near its watermill. Old Harlow is a village-sized suburb founded by the early medieval age and most of its high street buildings are early Victorian and residential. In Old Harlow is a field named Harlowbury, a de-settled monastic area which has the remains of a chapel, a scheduled ancient monument.
The M11 motorway passes through the east of the Borough, entirely to the east of the town. Harlow has its own commercial and leisure economy. It is also an outer part of the London commuter belt and employment centre of the M11 corridor which includes Cambridge and London Stansted to the north. At the time of the 2011 Census, Harlow's population was recorded at 81,944 and its borough had the third-highest proportion of social housing in England, 26.9%, a legacy of the 1947 commitment to re-house blitzed London families after World War II and provide a percentage of homes for other needy families who cannot afford market rents.
Noticing a beautiful girl in the background of a Laurel and Hardy film, actor Marc Peters tips off studio mogul Jonathan Martin, who arranges a screen test. Jean Harlow is an overnight success.
Harlow isn't a trained thespian and is mocked by experienced actor William Mansfield, but she is sexy and she's got something audiences respond to that makes her a Hollywood star. Unfortunately for her, she's also got a mother, Mama Jean, who quickly capitalizes on her daughter's money and fame.
Family and studio demands unnerve Harlow, as does her impulsive wedding to Paul Bern, who turns out to be impotent and suicidal. Harlow has many unhappy affairs and becomes depressed. But the veteran actress Marie Dressler persuades her to take her profession more seriously, so Harlow goes back East to study her craft.

2010-present: The District of Harlow, and the District of Epping Forest wards of Hastingwood, Matching and Sheering Village, Lower Nazeing, Lower Sheering, and Roydon.
History
This seat was created in 1974 from the former seat of Epping and until changes introduced in time for the 2010 election included part of the electoral ward of Broadley Common, Epping Upland and Nazeing.
Constituency profile
The seat has been a bellwether since the result in 1983. Included are above county-average levels of social housing, underemployment and unemployment as at the 2001 census and the associated 2000 Index of Multiple Deprivation however the new town has brought growth sustained in part by more commuting with an increasingly-used and separate Mill station in the London Commuter Belt and has seen a 9.2% increase in the number of apartments to 2011 which brings the proportion of the housing market made up by flats and apartments to 23.8%.

Harlow was first signed by business magnate Howard Hughes, who directed her first major role in Hell's Angels (1930). After a series of critically failed films, and Hughes' loss of interest in her career, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer bought out Harlow's contract in 1932[3] and cast her in leading roles in a string of hits built on her comedic talent: Red-Headed Woman (1932), Red Dust (1932), Dinner at Eight (1933), Reckless (1935) and Suzy (1936). Harlow's popularity rivaled and then surpassed that of MGM's top leading ladies Joan Crawford, Greta Garbo and Norma Shearer. She died at the age of 26 of kidney failure while filming Saratoga. MGM completed the film with the use of body doubles and released it less than two months after her death; it became MGM's most successful film of 1937, as well as the highest-grossing film of her career.

Upon reading Jean's life story, how she lived & how she was used & "held capative" by her mother (Mother Jean)and how she made all her life's decisions for her as well as her step father, who she Jean loathed. One day she told a friend, "I've had it up to here!" with her career, and the men she's dated. She just wanted to settle down with a husband & have a child. She might of been tough on screen, but off screen, she was shy, sweet & easy going. Then she found the man she fell in love with-Willam Powell, who would not marry her & when she passed away, grieved for her loss & brought flowers to her grave everyday.
After all she was "just a girl"... A girl that just wanted to be loved!
**I felt this song suit her well & described how she must of felt."**
"Jean , your legend will live on forever!"
*And a huge thanks to Gwen Stefani for the use of this song,(what better singer/song for a great gal) as I know you are a big Harlow fan as well!! And Im one of your fans too! So, thank you!!* :D
She laughed in my face, told me good-bye Said "Don't think about it, you can go crazy Anything can happen, anything can end Don't try to fight it, don't try to save me" She's a woman in love And he's gonna break her heart to pieces She don't wanna see She's a woman in love, but it's not me Well alright, do what you want Don't try to talk, don't say nothing She used to be the kind of woman You have and you hold, she could understand the problem She let the little things go She's a woman in love And he's gonna break her heart to pieces But she don't wanna know She's a woman in love, she can't let go Time after time, night after night She would look up at me And say she was lonely I don't understand the world today I don't understand what she needed I gave her everything she threw it all away On nothin'
