1950 Frankie Laine - Nevertheless (single-release version)
Transfered from the charted 1950 single (pictured), this track was not included in either the "complete" Bear Family Laine box set or the Mercury Years CD, both of which used an alternate take.
The song "Nevertheless" dates back to the early 1930s and was quite successfully revived via several different 1950 releases due to its inclusion in "Three Little Words," the MGM biopic of songwriters Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby. Though not among the handful of top-selling versions, Laine's recording performed respectably on the national juke box and radio airplay charts.

Audio from CD source, the original single was issued on Mercury 5345 - Mule Train (Johnny Lange-Hy Heath-Fred Glickman) by Frankie Laine and the Muleskinners, conducted by Mitch Miller. A huge hit for Laine in late 1949, this song was sung by Vaughn Monroe in the 1950 western film.
