The A20 is a major road in south-east England, carrying traffic from London to Dover in Kent. Parts of the route date back to turnpikes established in the early part of the 18th century. The line of the road throughout Kent runs closely in parallel with the M20 motorway.
Route
Traffic leaving London at first takes the A2 road; at New Cross in the London Borough of Lewisham the A20 begins and heads in a south-easterly direction, becoming in turn Lewisham Way and Loampit Vale. The latter road forms a large junction, where the A21 separates for Hastings. The road now runs through Lee High Road into Eltham Road, The junction with the A210 contains an unusually long 41 m yellow box junction. and continues as the Sidcup Bypass, crossing the A222 at Frognal Corner and the A224 at Crittall's Corner. Entering Kent, it runs past Swanley and flows directly onto the M20 motorway.
County Route A3 or Standish–Buntingville Road is a road in Lassen County connected to U.S. Route 395, and functions as a bypass for northbound traffic around Susanville. At its northern end it is signed for Reno (via US 395), and its southern end for Lakeview, also via US 395.
Beginning as the Newtownards Road at the junction of Bridge End close to Belfast city centre, the road runs in an easterly direction through east Belfast. The early parts of the road are mainly working-class Protestant districts with strong links to the nearby Harland & Wolff shipyard. After the junction of the Holywood Road, it becomes the Upper Newtownard Road and enters the middle-class areas of Ballyhackamore, Knock and Stormont, where it passes the Parliament Buildings.
After leaving Belfast and passing through Dundonald, the road becomes a dual carriageway, passing through a mainly agricultural area before arriving in Newtownards.
Great Britain and Ireland was a set of special commemorativepostage stamps issued by the Royal Mail in 2006. The stamps were the final part of the British Journey series, which had previously featured Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales. It was available as mint stamps, as a presentation pack, stamps cards, and a first day cover.
British Journey series
These stamps are the final issue in the British Journey series; which started in 2003 with Scotland, followed in 2004 with Northern Ireland and Wales, and South West England in 2005. The series was brought to a premature end with this issue due to a lack of popularity amongst collectors.
Stamp details
The stamps were issued as a block of stamps, five wide by two deep. The photographs selected for this issue show no sky but are intended to demonstrate the colours and textures of the United Kingdom. All values are first class.
England were a progressive rock group active in the late 1970s, and briefly reformed in 2006. The band is notable for their album Garden Shed released on Arista Records, and for keyboardist Robert Webb playing a Mellotron sawn in half.
Biography
The band was formed in 1975 by drummer Mark Ibbotson, and, after a variety of prototype groups, stabilised around a line-up of himself, bassist Martin Henderson, guitarist Jamie Moses and keyboardist Robert Webb. Moses and Webb had previously collaborated on an unreleased album. Ibbottson owned a Mk II Mellotron, which Webb took an interest in, later saying "it opens up possibilities. It's having control like the conductor of an orchestra." To make the instrument portable, Webb sawed the instrument in half, rehousing the left-hand manual and the right-hand tapes (which contained the lead sounds on a Mk II model) it in a new case. After a number of gigs at the Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone, Moses quit and was replaced by Franc Holland. In March 1976, immediately following a showcase gig that resulted in a contract with Arista Records, Ibbotson quit the band and was replaced by Jode Leigh.

driver view A20 westbound in UK from Dover to Folkestone in Kent County, England on 5/25/23
This is a driver view bus ride from the roundabout in Dover, Kent County, England in the UK where we get on the A20 and shows the road, traffic and scenery along the road as far as Folkestone where the A20 diverges from the carriageway and then continues as the M20. The date is 5/25/23. This highway I thought was in good condition road surface-wise. As future videos from the trip will demonstrate, not all roads in the UK are nearly this good. Also note--unlike highways throughout the Continent, especially in Germany, I noticed an absence of reflectors along the sides which are so essential during fog and storms and extremely heavy rain. Especially on a major highway like the A20, I found that surprising honestly. P.S. This is a re-post of the first one with the same title--shortly after po...

Driving A20 Dual Carriageway
Join me as I drive the dual carriageway from Folkestone roundhill tunnel down to Dover, by way of the A20 dual carriageway. Quite a few hazards and certainly a road for observations and awareness.

Sorry about any frustration with the first one.
