Since Father's Day is fast approaching I decided to dig into my bin
of manly men stamps and pay homage to all the men out there. I made 3
ATC's celebrating men and the first one is called "remind him" using the
Viva Las VegaStamps! man with moustache stamp and the mesh texture stamp
and here is a detail shot showing his cute little fabric bow tie
The second ATC is called "one bar on my phone" using the angry man stamp, the mesh texture, double coffee rings and the measuring tape section, and I must say I do agree with him!! Am I right??
Last
but not least is one of my faves called "Ecolda" and I must put the
disclaimer out there that my man acts nothing like this but I've heard
from other women that their men do. My guy could be almost dying and he
wouldn't complain!! I used the man in gas mask stamp, the measuring tape section, the mesh texture, the scrabble alphabet small AND the paperclip!
Here are a couple detail shots of Ecolda
I hope you enjoyed these and happy early Father's Day to all the fathers out there!!

Cheers!
Hi there, today I made a trio of pocket cards using the fabulous Viva Las VegaStamps!
stamps and I thought the theme this time would be alcoholic beverages.
I myself love a great red wine followed by some Coors Light. :)
One of the great thing about doing pocket scrapbooking, or pocket pages or Project Life, whatever you want to call it, is that the little 3 x 4 cards come already embellished so it makes them easy to use. I had this little book of pocket cards
so I picked out 3 that I wanted to work with
and then I picked out 3 lovely stamps (aren't they gorgeous?)
and then I colored them in with watercolor pencils and arranged them onto the cards
The first card is called "leftover wine" using the large lightbulb and the distressed lady
and this one is called "say them anyway" using the pinup in stockings
and the last one is called "another glass of wine" using the pin up girl on phone
I love being able to customize my own pocket cards depending on what I'm scrapping and I found that these sassy sayings about wine gave it the humour I was wanting. I hope you enjoyed my project and I would love to know which card was your fave!

May Inspiration and love of Vikings!
Hi Glenda here with my take on the gorgeous May inspiration shown below. I loooveeed the red, black and white as well as the drips in this inspiration piece.
I was inspired by this piece to make an art journal spread about my love of the show "Vikings", here it is:
oohh how I love me some Ragnar!! I used a bunch of stamps to make this page including the blood dripping, bubble wrap texture, cityscape sunrise, coffee ring stain, double coffee rings, grunge circles, man and woman symbol (but only used the man), star pin, biohazard (only used the word) and last but not least the measuring tape section. I hope you enjoyed this journal page and I'll leave you with a few close ups:
Have fun with the May inspiration and I can't wait to see how you are inspired!

Silhouette love
Hi there, Glenda here and today I would love to share some silhouette love! What I
love about using silhouette stamps is that you can make such pretty
backgrounds and let the gorgeous silhouette take center stage. I made 3
different ATC's using the fabulous Viva Las VegaStamps!. This first one is called "cherish" using the lovers kissing in boat stamps as well as the flying bird trio.
What I did was stamp the lovers kissing in boat stamp onto some white cardstock that I had cut to ATC size.
Then I got out my handy dandy watercolor pencils and colored in the water and started in on the sky
and kept coloring using colors I thought would make a nice sunset background.
Then I blended in the watercolors
and then I mounted the card onto some black cardstock so it would pop more, added the flying bird trio, some gold stars and the word cherish.
The next card is called "Abu Dhabi 2015" in tribute to my recent trip to the Middle East. It was amazing!!!!
I stamped the Moroccan scene onto some white cardstock
and since my ink smudged all inside the stamped image I decided to cut that inside area out like shown below. I also used my watercolor pencils to color in the sand.
Then on the smaller piece of white cardstock I misted it with some blue and orange inks
and the I glued the pieces together and also used the fabulous flying bird trio stamp again and added my words that I printed off from the computer and here is my finished ATC.
My last ATC is called "seek paradise" and it's another tribute to my trip to the Middle East using the fabulous camel and rider stamp as well as the seek paradise stamp along with some rub ons, clear tape and stickers.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my ATC's and as always I would love to know which one was your favorite! I hope I've also inspired you to use some silhouette stamps as they are sooo fun!! I will leave you with a picture taken last month from my trip Abu Dhabi & Dubai! This is me on a camel ride!!
You can stop by my blog to see more pictures from my Middle East vacation here. Have a fabulous day!!

Some random funnies
It's been a while since I made a series of funny ATC's so I decided
to do one on women, because we can be pretty funny right? I used the
fabulous Viva Las VegaStamps! stamps and here is the first ATC called "happiness shield" using the fifties housewife pointing
This next one is called "gang members" using the lovely 3 women in tubes stamp
and last but not least is the "how to be awesome" with the smiling lady holding chin
I hope you enjoyed these and got a chuckle and I would love to know which one was your favorite!

Spread your wings and fly
Hi there! This week we at VLVS! are having a blog hop with Art Anthology!!
How exciting is this right??? Here are a few places for you to travel to:
Viva Las VegaStamps! website
Viva Las VegaStamps! facebook page
Art AnthologyWebsite
Art Anthology Facebook Page
I made an ATC using the Italian Sonnet Background and the Demure Angel as well as the Art Anthology Ink Spot Colorations Spray, Art Anthology Blue Topaz Dimensional Paint and the Art Anthology Garnet Dimensional Paint. Here is my ATC:
And here are some step by step pictures of the process. First I put some Blue Topaz and Garnet paint onto my Gelli Plate using a foam dabber
Then I placed my heavy cardstock onto the Gelli Plate until the paint transferred.
I wanted the colors to be more muted so I sprayed some of the Art Anthology Ink Spot onto the cardstock and let it run.
Then once I dried the card with my heat gun I used the Italian Sonnet Background stamp and gold ink (doesn't that show up nicely on that background?)
I cut out the Demure Angel stamped image and placed it onto the cardstock and then added some sequins and punchinella.
Here is a close up
And once again the finished ATC
I hope you enjoyed my project!

Homemade Project Life
I bought the W R Memory Keepers 3 x 4 punch from Winners for like
$16.99 and thought I would give it another try. The last time I
couldn't figure out how to open the darn thing so I returned it, plus I
had bought it from my local scrap store for $33 so this time the price
was right.
I got the one with the square corners and that way I could either leave them square or round them myself with my paper rounder.
I wanted to do a page Project Life style using papers I cut with the new punch as well as Viva Las VegaStamps!. How did I like using the punch you ask? It was pretty easy once I figured out how to open it but you do need to use a little force and it got tiring on the hands. You wouldn't want to make a day of this that's for sure!
NOTE: you have to push down at the exact same time as unlocking this unit. I googled everywhere for this information and had to figure it out myself. They should indicate this in the directions but they don't.
I think this will help me use up more of my 12 x 12 papers and it will also be handy for cutting down any 4 x 6 photos. Here are the papers I cut using a variety of ones from my massive, guilt inducing stash:
I liked how these all went together so I placed some of them onto my pocket page
Then I got the pictures I wanted to use and placed them onto the page as well and placed a few more things on.
Then I started adding some embellishments
Here is my finished page using the couple kissing, the man and woman symbol , the tag and the large arrow heart.
and here is the project without the watermark as it's cutting off the bottom of the page
and a couple close ups
I hope you enjoyed my project and until next time!
