Baby Tags with TASSELS!!

I am super excited to share with you today!!!  I really never thought too much about designing a stamp until recently and honestly I didn't really think it would ever happen...BUT.IT.DID!
Thanks to DeeDee and Viva Las VegaStamps! I am sharing a couple of tags I made using two stamps by ME!!

Tassel and String of Tassels are hand drawn by me :).
I also used: Tall Stork and Baby, Family of Chickens, Extra Extra, A Little Birdie

I wanted to create some tags for baby gifts but me being me...I didn't want typical.

This tall stork is perfect!!!

And of course those TASSELS!!!

I couldn't not have some pink!!

These tassels are fussy cut, layered and a couple are POPPED up!

By taking some ribbon, folding a piece in half and attaching OVER the tag hole with a tiny attacher it alters the look and it does seem like a tag really.  It ends up being more like a card and I like that it an just be put right on top of a package!

Thanks so much for joining me today!!  Be on the look ut for more fun ways to incorporate my new designs into all styles of stamping!
Unitl next time...get inky!

Pretty Journal Page by Fiona

Hello my gorgeous VLVS peeps! Fiona here today to share a journal page I have created with you all.

This time I have kept it classic black and white with one. the one is the pink and boy does it pop!

I wasn't too sure about this one when it first began. I was deliberately trying to not use too many colours so i started with the black.

Well actually I started with the white modelling paste through the stencil but when it came to adding colours I held back and started with the black then added the pink.

The stamping was sort of all ready in my head so it followed the black and pink easily. All that was left was to add a few pink details. The heart and her dress and one or two wings and it was done!

STAMPS USED:

See you all again next time xx

Color Chaos Tag by Jenn Engle

Hey Everyone! I have a super colorful tag using some of the new Mark Making Stamps designed by DeeDee Catron and my new favorite Paint Brush in Jar Stamp.

STAMPS USED:
Rows of Numbers

I started out with a watercolor tag and used some Distress Paint as a quick way to get color on my tag. I then stamped the Rows of Numbers  and Cross Marks Background all over my background. I love these mark making stamps because they add that hand drawn element that I love, yet struggle with.

I had this other pink and yellow tag in my stash that I thought went well, so I used that as a place to put my Paint Brush Stamp . The brushes are placed on top of  the Scribble Circle stamp with some teal thread in between.

I stamped the Typeset Scallops on top of some painty paper, then added it along with some Dina Wakley washi tape under the top tag.

I finished my tag off with some Tim Holtz Chit Chat Stickers and some white gesso thru a Tim Holtz stencil.

To see exactly how I made this tag, you can check out my process video here:

Mermaid Dreamer Mail Art

Hello Everyone!!!

It's me Tera, here with a surprise guest post...

(I'm taking a little time off from my design teams for a bit to re-spark my creativity)

Once again, I want to share some super fun Mail Art envelope using some of the new releases.  For this, I was inspired by this months challenge "Summer"

(Warning Photo Heavy)

Stamps Used:
Plate 1495
(you know you are going to want them all of you are anything like me!)
Row of Scribble Circles
Typeset Scallop
Row of Numbers
Punchinella/Sequin Waste
The Moon
Fancy Mermaid
She was a Dreamer

Start by stamping out your mermaid on the envelope (A2) and on scrap paper for your mask.

Next, Using Momento ink "London Fog" I stamped the moon over the masked mermaid.

Using Memento Black ink I added my base for the mermaid to rest on.

To build the background I stamped the x's as my stars, and inked with Distress Oxide ink "Broken China"

Now to add some contrast, I sponged on 2 of the green inks from my kaleidacolor inks.

Time for the reveal... I love seeing things come together after the mask is removed.
I also forgot to take a picture before I stamped my 2 pieces in Distress ink "Blueprint sketch" to help frame everything.  I also added a but more color around the edges.

I also added the numbers along the right side in black Momento ink.

Here you can see where I have started the base colors on my mermaid...
I also stamped my sentiment "she was a dreamer" and outlined it with white gel pen to help it pop off of the page.

(The left if the finished mermaid. You can see some of the added glitter details from the Wink of Stella pen.  On the right side you can see more of the color building.)

Well, there you have it! I love how this envelope came together. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!!
