Pen Holder ► Majo

Hi Lovelies, it’s time for another pen holder.

This time I used a lot of sentiment besides some of the lovely mixed media images.

                                                   Numbers from plate 1456

Spiral from plate 1127

Doodle Dots from plate 1471

3 sentiments from plate 1404

Spend your life …..

I added some of the Tim Holtz “Crochet” Thinlets and inked all the edges. I love this litte piece, it found its place in my kitchen.

Some close ups for you .....

Have fun crafting, see you next time.

                                                                          Luv ya

VALENTINE CARD BY FRAN CHALMERS

 Hi everyone!

It's nearly Valentine's Day so I thought I'd make a fun card for my other half - and he'll tell you that the sentiment is definitely true!

First of all I smooshed my card with Distress Ink in Kitsch Flamingo

I used a stencil from my stash to do the hearts in the same colour

And then I went round the edge with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink

I stamped the main image with Versafine Clair Nocturn on thick paper and coloured it with Kuretake watercolour pens, then fussy cut it out.

I added the sentiment (which I cut up) and used red posca pen round the edges. I mounted the whole card onto a red mat.

Stamps Used:

Smooching lady 17896

Other products used:
Distress Inks in Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry
Versafine Clair in Nocturn
Kuretake watercolour pens
Red posca pen
Red Card
Heart stencil

Audiobook case by ~*Arwen*~

 Hi Lovelies ❤

Welcome back on this Blog!

Today I'm here with an audiobook case. It will be a gift for my sister.

And that's the way, I made it:

1.) I used cardboard for the outer shell. The size is 5 inches x 10.25 inches.
Fold the cardboard once at 5 inches, turn it 180 degrees and fold again at 5 inches.

2.) I made the inner cover with thinner paper. The dimensions are 6 inches x 10 inches.
First fold the long side - at 0.5 inch and at 5.5 inch.

3.) Then turn over to the short side and fold at 5 inches.

4,) To turn the piece of paper into a cover, I punch a semicircle into one half. This serves as an insert. The folded pages are rounded. At the bottom, the folded edges are completely cut away.

5.) Now glue the two tabs to the back. Where the tabs were glued to the outside is the back.

6,) The inner cover can now be glued to the right side of the outer cover. The semicircular cutout points upwards.

7.) To ultimately design the cover, I use a piece of watercolor paper. I cut this a little smaller than the outer cover. Now choose the right stamps and you can get started!

All stamps, I used:

- why fit in

- Surprise girl

- Plus sign background

other supplies:

- Cardstock

- black paper

- watercolor paper

- Staz on

- VersaFine Clair

- Posca pen

- handmade watercolors

- Distress oxides

- Scor Pal

- circle punch

See ya soon :)

Sunflowers by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello everyone!

I'm on the blog today with a bright and sunny card- needed a change from the freezing cold and gray.

To start this card, I made a circle with foil glue. Let it get tacky and clear- that's how you know its ready for the foil. Then I stamped the large sunflower as well as the single smaller sunflower. I then took leafing foil in copper and pressed it onto the circle, brush off excess with a soft brush.

Next I used distress spray stains as watercolors and painted in the background outside of the circle. I was careful to not get any paint in the flowers.
I kept playing with the colors until I was happy. Next I used alcohol markers to color all of the flowers and the pale purple background inside the circle.
Last, I trimmed the card down quite a bit so I could layer it onto two card stocks.
Not so quick card for all of the coloring but then I was in no rush and I find coloring very relaxing.
And that is all - I  hope you enjoyed.

Stamps used:
Leafy sunflower   1170
Sunflower stem    9209

 Other supplies:
Alcohol markers
Distress inks as watercolors- Salvaged patina, squeezed lemonade, picked raspberry
Copper foil leaf

Orca by Tracy Blackwolf

Hello everyone! Hope you're all keeping warm... My project for today is a nice and simple card suitable for framing.

This is a big stamp! wont fit on an A2 size card.(4.5 x 5.5) But I love these beautiful animals so this stamp is a must for me.

I stamped it on white heavy stock with black  versa clair ink. I filled in where needed as solid areas seem to always need some help. I used black watercolor paint for that.

I then took some paper towel and covered the stamp and sprayed salvaged patina  and stormy sky on the card. I dried it with heat tool.

Next I took my red line tape and made a frame around the Orca.
I removed the liner and used a sheet foil pretty side up, and stuck it to the tape all the way around.
Its a black holographic foil- so cool! wish the camera picked up the colors better.

Next I used a glitter marker to color all the black on the orca, I wanted a bit of sparkle I used some gilding size or glue to add the dots and used the foil again. last I layered it all on a piece of black cardstock.

and thats it!

Hope you enjoyed!

Stamps used:
Orca, lg.

Other supplies:
Black hologram foil sheet
Red line double stick tape
Distress spray stains- salvaged patina, stormy sky
versaclair nocturne ink
