Takuya (タクヤ Takuya?) is a human from the Disastrous Metropolis.
Appearance[]
Takuya has a diamond face, regular haircut, pronounced eyebrows and rectangular eyes. His outfit contains a white shirt, a brown sweater vest, grey jeans, shoes and rectangular-shaped glasses.
Personality[]
As an elementary school teacher, Takuya is polite, caring, diligent and averse to arguments. He tries to intervene when arguments arise many times, such as when Hallow and Pakkya are arguing. He was always looking out for Masayoshi and apologizes to Glasp after his partner suggests to hide. Takuya's very fond of his glasses and will protect them at all cost.
Plot[]
Introduction Arc[]
Takuya is seen alongside Masayoshi and humans from other worlds during the meeting. When Masayoshi sneers at Indignia's God, Takuya stresses the importance of freedom of religion.[2] After Masayoshi suggests to hide, Takuya apologizes to Glasp after he thinks the suggestion brings the morale down.[3]
Demon Lord Arc[]
Takuya tries to stop Masayoshi and Mika from arguing over whether to save the slave girl.[4] He is surprised when the Lawless seemingly save Zaybi[5] and is one of the people executing Masayoshi's bluff to fend them off.[6]
Current Arc[]
After Wané gathers a variety of insects, mushrooms, and plants for the group to eat - only for the others to refuse - Takuya steps in to inspect the ingredients. Determined to make use of them, he decides to properly prepare and cook the foraged items. As he examines the insects, he notices their muscular texture and raw odor but concludes they are still usable. He peels the skin off the bug meat, pouring it thoroughly with hot water to eliminate the smell. Moving on to the herbs, he selects the best ones and finishes the dish with a soy sauce, a precious commodity in their current situation.
When the meal is ready, Takuya presents it to the others, who gaze at the freshly cooked food in amazement. Mika praises the flavor, while Wané marvels at how the fury maggots could taste so delicious, eagerly asking Takuya what he did. Muun devours the meal and immediately asks for more, and Cartel commends Takuya's skill, calling his work impressive. Slightly embarrassed by their reactions, Takuya feels a sense of pride that his passion for cooking proved useful.
Out of the blue, Wané brings a dead glower mouse, asking if he can cook it as well. Takuya hesitates, explaining that it depends on how fresh the mouse is. Before he can inspect it further, Masayoshi intervenes, firmly instructing Wané to dispose of it immediately. This turns out to be the right call, as a brown bear appears shortly after to reclaim the carcass before wandering off. Watching the bear leave, Takuya remarks on how narrowly they avoided danger.[7]
