Paritetboat Looker 350
This yachtish-thing apparently is especially designed for the tourist-industry, the ones that wanna go out and have a look under the surface of the water: blub-blub-tourists so to say. Although it’s always better for your business if your clients, aka the tourists come back to tell others how good it was…Anyway: this floating thing has a veeeeerrrryyyy big underwater bubble window so all those who paid up can have a good look at the underwater world. Unfortunately the designers had a lot of knowledge about underwater bubble hulls but they went totally over the top with everything from the waterline up. As the pictures testify.
those things look like one-eyed flies….on stilts……on the water.
They do a smaller version as well: the Looker 320, but that isn’t any less ugly!
And for the necessary diversity the company also made a catamaran-speedboat-version.
If you are not revolted by the looks of these things and you wanna know more: visit, at your own risk, www.paritetboat.com
I found these via www.yachtblick.de. They did a series about the ugliest yachts of the world: HERE. Unfortunately it is in German but click on the links and you’ll see the pics. Click on the most upper link and you can put in your vote!
I think you are missing the point of the Patitet Boat,
it is designed to do a specific task, hall tourist out to the reef
rapidly and return, It has proven itself over and over again
as a huge money maker. I think its a fantastic inovation and a great looking boat, I am ordering one.
I’m not questioning its usefulness or its trackrecord…..I just think it’s ugly!
Beauty must be in the eye of the beholder, there’s one of these moored at the Marina I’m in, and I see it as one of the most fantastic looking boats ever, sleek, futuristic, logical. Perfect!
Jacques vous l’avez acheté?
I think that you are either an old fart that like sail boats, jealous because you can`t afford it, or you don’t have the brains to think futuristic.
LOL…..and the price for the most fantastic comment of 2011 goes to….Angelo! Woohooo!
I bought one, everybody loves it, and it’s making me a great deal of money, so there,
point proven!
How come you are calling ugly so beautifully designed a boat, so revolutionary, dolphin -reminiscent shaped and streamlined? Or is it you have prejudices against Russian manufacturers?
