The Divine Birch Tree is a world tree located in the Divine City and is currently owned by the Cheon Bu Guild and the Dan Ui Guild.

Hwanung descended onto the world along with 3,000 followers, including the ministers of wind, rain, clouds and the Divine Birch Tree was the path that connected the Gods (Hwanung) with the humans (the Korean peninsula). [1]
It is said that Hwanung descended upon earth using the Divine Birch Tree along with Pung Baek, Woo Sa and Un Sa with the three heavenly artifacts: the Heavenly Sword, the Heavenly Rattle and the Heavenly Mirror. It's one of the many world trees. It supports the Korean peninsula and plays a pivotal role as the pillar which connects the Heavens and the Korean peninsula. [2]
The birch tree is a type of world tree, and the world trees resonate with each other. If you get a part of one world tree, you can use it to locate another world tree. Just like it happened in the Divine Birch Tree Arc, when the Lord of the Twisted Dimension and the other antagonists took a part of Yggdrasil and used it to locate the Divine Birch Tree. [3]
Only the heir of Dangun's Sword can commune with the Divine Birch Tree. It's a tree that gathers mental power and converts it into life force. It gets it's power from people who identify as Koreans. It has the power to combine their mental power. And it converts that power into pure life force. It's kind of like how plants suck in carbon dioxide and give off oxygen. [4] It may sound kind of vague, but there's no end to the ways you can use life force in the abyss, it's like how necromancers are always absorbing life force to create more undead. This is this tree's special power. It's like the ultimate weapon. And to control it, you need all three heavenly artifacts (the Heavenly Sword, the Heavenly Rattle and the Heavenly Mirror). Shin Seonil can only use the Divine Birch Tree while he's right there, besides it. Because he has dangun's sword. As soon as he leaves, the tree goes back to resting. Basically, you need all three heavenly artifacts to keep it activated permanently. Otherwise, the owner of the three heavenly artifacts has to stay here and make direct contact with the tree. Shin Seonil opened a path to the tree for his family's elders in order to visit it, since the entrance is constantly changing locations and you can't even enter the Divine City without the three heavenly artifacts.[5]
