Plot[]
The book opens with a makeshift memorial and the team mourning for Mr. Snake, who's assumed to have fallen to his death. Marmalade begins to make a speech about his upcoming conquer of Earth, while mocking the Good Guys Club. Mr. Wolf starts to agree with Marmalade, regretting forming the team. Fox disagrees and encourages Wolf to be proud for the heroic deeds his team has done. This leads to an idea by Kitty, suggesting the International League of Heroes and the Good Guys Club merge to form a new organization: Shadow Squad G. The members unanimously agree, and the team is created.
Meanwhile, Legs and Shortfuse are hidden in Marmalade's spaceship, and Shortfuse starts beating up his army. While she does so, Legs talks to the team via video camera, asking for assistance in the ship. Wolf and Fox decide to aid them, while the rest of the team helps the civilians. While complaining that they're outnumbered, Piranha's father makes an appearance, arriving with his entire family. He also reveals Piranha's first name is Pepe, to his embarrassment.
Once Wolf and Fox arrive at the ship, Wolf questions who the aforementioned Rhonda is, and Fox explains that's Agent Shortfuse. She then confesses her first name to be Ellen, asking for Wolf's as well. He reveals his name is Moe. After a kiss, the two split to assist Shortfuse and Legs respectively. Wolf eventually finds Legs in the control room, but he's quickly knocked unconscious by Marmalade, who also has Shortfuse and Fox hostage.
Back on the land, the rest of Shadow Squad G battle Marmalade's army, while getting to know each other. Hogwild reveals her first name is Emmylou, Kitty's is Pam, and Shark's is Lou. They perform well, but are interrupted after being trapped by a ray from the ship cannon. Marmalade takes back control of the camera, streaming himself about to eat Fox. Before he can, one of his guards starts choking, and a second is slammed to a wall. They point out a cloaked figure descending the stairs, who frees the heroes and telepathically holds Marmalade in midair. The figure reveals himself to be none other than Mr. Snake.
Marmalade's guards allow him to proceed, and Snake releases the team from the cannon. As the team questions how Snake's alive, he explains he fell inside the ship's cannon while it was removing the team's superpowers, absorbing them all in the process. He then makes a speech towards the aliens, explaining they viewed them all as villains due to Marmalade's malicious rule. He offers to either fight everyone or their surrender, which two guards quickly follow the latter and enclose Marmalade in a jar.
The team reunite and celebrate the return of Snake, which is interrupted by Marmalade's head of security, Nathan. He talks about how Marmalade is the son of the king of their home planet, Planet :(, and his disappointment in his "cute and cuddly" appearance. In order to prove his worth for the throne, he was sent out into the galaxy with an army. The army was displeased with his rude treatment, and are relieved about his defeat. Wolf then asks for a favor, requesting Milton is brought back to his hyper-intelligent state.
Tiffany introduces the brand new Shadow Squad G to the world, who are showered with praise on stage. Milton also joins the team, back to his cheerful self. Wolf and Snake exchange words of appreciation, and the team leave the stage in style. In the team's new headquarters, Piranha expresses his concern on Snake's newfound powers, with Shark dismissing them, claiming there's nothing that could go wrong. Snake throws an entire amount of pool water at the two, concluding the book and season.
