They’re Bee-Hind You! is the fourteenth book in the series and the fourth book of Season 2.

Description[]

POP QUIZ! You are on the roof of a skyscraper. Every floor of that building has nasty things that just don't like you. And you REALLY need to get to the basement. Whaddaya do?! (And no, you can’t just join the B-Team and fly away in their glamorous new spaceship.) Think quick, chico, because the multiverse is getting worse!

Plot[]

The book opens with another memory in Snake's childhood, of him being confronted by his bullies. However, Snake threatens and scares them away, with Wolf applauding his efforts of being bad. The memory transitions to the present, with Splaarghön upset at Snake's and Shaård's failure. Splaarghön orders Shaård to track down the B-Team and prevent them from finding The Others. As he does so, Snake hears Piranha speak for a moment, which is interrupted by the arrival of the next underlord, Onsáày.

Papa Piranha begins telepathically communicating to his son once again, and the two repeat that the B-Team is in danger. Snake is able to hear this conversation as well, to his confusion. Piranha's father continues to alert the team of Shaård's pursuit, when he's told that their only hope is to have Milton eat him.

In Onsáày's dimension, the A-Team continue their journey to the next dimension, entering a dark cave and being confronted by a large group of killer bees, along with Onsáày and Snake watching the team from a distance. Minus Wolf and an unconscious Fox, the team starts fighting off the bees, slowly descending down the skyscraper. During their battle, Snake breaks through a wall, and the team, except for Piranha, cease fighting to protect Fox. While Piranha is distracted fighting the bees, Snake eats Piranha whole, kidnapping him and flying away.

The B-Team explain to a baffled Papa Piranha that he had a vision explaining that Milton eating him will save them from Shaård. In the midst of confusion, Nathan points out Shaård just behind their ship. The team urge Milton to eat Papa Piranha, though they are both hesitant. He eventually does, and begins levitating soon after, asking Buck to stop the ship.

The A-Team struggle between rescuing Piranha and proceeding to the next doorway, and Wolf offers for the team to split up. Carrying Fox behind his back, he rapidly slides down the outside of the building in order to quickly travel to the basement. Kitty orders Shortfuse to follow him, while Shark and Hogwild help her seize a helicopter and set off for Piranha. Fox starts waking up, and the two start tumbling downwards. Shortfuse then grabs a bee and slams it at the two, creating a hole inside and descending to the basement.

Buck refuses to stop the ship, to everyone's argument. He does so not long after, with Milton claiming it being due to being "the right thing to do". He then asks for Buck to set the power to the tractor beam, and Buck refuses once again. Legs and Doom argue with him once more, though Tiffany keeps defending him. Legs then argues with her, asking why she's defending a new and suspicious member, with Tiffany yelling it's because of his heroic appearance and her relying on trusted stereotypes for comfort. This stops the argument, and Nathan traps Shaård inside the tractor beam. Milton then goes to the loading bay, requesting for the outer door to be opened, as he wishes to confront Shaård one-on-one.

After a brief conversation, Wolf accidentally trips inside and finds the doorway. However, an even larger group of bees surround Fox, and one also kicks Shortfuse through the doorway. Onsáày then approaches Fox and introduces herself, questioning her confidence towards Splaarghön. Fox responds with her status of being The One, and jumps a large distance inside the doorway.

Once at a high and far enough distance in the sky, Snake regurgitates Piranha, who then tries reasoning with Snake. He unsuccessfully tries brainwashing him, frustratedly asking how Piranha is immune to his hypnosis, along with his sudden telepathy. Piranha is left confused, as he's still unaware of his oracle abilities, but understands his importance to the team. He tries intimidating Snake to free him before the team arrives, though Snake reveals that's exactly what he wants.

Fox lands in a dark room, discovering Wolf and Shortfuse strapped down to a chair, as the next underlord reveals himself, ending the book.
