The Bottomless Lava Bucket is an item that functions similarly to the standard Lava Bucket, except that it never runs out of Lava and can place it slightly faster than a regular lava bucket (especially when moving the cursor around while filling). It is obtained as a rare drop from fishing in lava.

It is the lava counterpart of the Bottomless Water Bucket.

Notes[]

  • Unlike the Bottomless Water Bucket, this item is not an Angler quest reward.

Tips[]

  • This item can be used to create infinite Obsidian when paired with the Bottomless Water Bucket.
    • This can be used to attain infinite money, albeit slowly, by crafting and selling Obsidian Skulls.
  • It can be used in mid-air to create a platform to step on with Lava Waders, resetting any extra jumps.
  • When combined with the Superheated Blood (Lava Shark) mount, and with some practice, this item can be used to grant fast infinite flight in pre-Hardmode by pouring it over oneself repeatedly. This, however, will quickly flood the area with lava.
    • This technique can be used to avoid the Wall of Flesh when it reaches a very high speed.
  • The bottomless lava bucket can be used to easily make underground biome farms, as enemies cannot spawn on or in lava. Simply fill the area with lava to force spawns into a desired location. This method is preferred over filling the area with sand, as that will overwrite the biome and convert it to a Desert. Filling an area with lava instead allows the farm to retain its biome and potentially drop the respective Biome Key.
