Twice the Game is the season premiere of Survivor South Africa: Return of the Outcasts.
Story[]
Day 1[]
The castaways are divided into two tribes - Masu, comprised of post-merge players (who made it past merge in their season), and Yontau, pre-merge players who were voted out before merge in their respective seasons. Nico announces that, since everyone is a returning player, they will be playing for 2 million rand, twice the usual prize. The season commences with a Reward Challenge, with Masu dominating to win flint for their tribe.
Chappies forms an early bond with Danté based on his admiration from his previous seasons, and Steffi based on a relationship built outside of the game. Steffi, Meryl, and Marian discuss forming an alliance, with Marian bringing in Shane, Meryl bringing in Danté, and Steffi bringing in Chappies.
At Yontau, Tania cannot control herself and diverges from her "Astroplan" to fly under the radar, immediately reaching out to Shona and Killarney form a women's alliance. Meanwhile, Dino and Seamus form a prospective alliance. In a confessional, Seamus expresses the disappointment he felt after being the first boot of Philippines, but states that it was a necessary transformative experience that has made him the person he is today. As the sun sets, Pinty gets visibly frustrated over Shona suggesting the the group withhold from eating Pineapples to preserve them.
Day 2[]
On Masu, the Marian, Meryl, Steffi, Shane, Danté, and Chappies solidify their alliance over breakfast, calling themselves the 'Breakfast Club'. Meanwhile, PK, Toni and Palesa are away at the beach discussing their own potential alliance, and Tejan is off on a walk. A number of the Breakfast Club alliance members notice engravings on trees at camp. Shane begins to discretely dig at the base of the tree while sitting around, but finds nothing.
Challenges[]
Reward Challenge: Water Slaughter
In two on two matchups, castaways must run out to a post with a ring on it. Once retrieving the ring, they must try to race back to their tribes post while their opponents try to stop them. The castaway that is able to get the ring back to their tribes post will score a point for their tribe. The first tribe to score three points will win reward.

- Barking Up the Wrong Tree: Thoriso realizes that she had been digging for the idol in the wrong place. To her horror, she learns the tribe has begun building their shelter at the tree bearing the clue to the idol.
