As the leader and glue for his Iban Alliance, Grant was a consistent strategic presence on his season. His witty and self-deprecating humor gained him the favor of his tribemates, and his social manipulation kept them loyal to him. Despite dictating much of the season's pecking order, Grant's lackluster Final Tribal Council performance failed to change the jury's perception of him as being inauthentic, and their respect for Lorette Mostert's loyalty and ingenuity cost him the game in a narrow 3-2 vote.
