Amanda Hoosen is a contestant from Survivor South Africa: Malaysia.
An integral part of the season, Amanda started out on the Bajau tribe, where she rounded up an alliance of misfits against the three main providers of the tribe, Hein Vosloo, Dyke Higginson and Nicola Windt. Despite her occasionally grating loquaciousness, Amanda's keen social awareness carried over into the new Iban tribe post-switch, where she eliminated her rival Rijesh Govender and formed close bonds with Angie Bennett and her former enemy Dyke. At the merge, old tribal lines prevailed and after Hein's elimination, Amanda was relegated to the minority with her fellow Bajau members. Despite all of her allies being voted off, Amanda was able to coast to the final three after the original Iban Alliance fractured. She lost the Final Immunity Challenge and was voted out by Lorette Mostert, who had a closer bond with Grant Clark.

She has also had dance training since the age of five and does ballet, tap, modern and jazz.
