In spite of having voted correctly against Lisa Legouverneur at the Mambok tribe's first Tribal Council, Catherine had never really been integrated into Maxime Boulet's alliance and only voted against Lisa as Maxime had falsely convinced her that Lisa was targeting her. After the Mambok tribe had lost the second Immunity Challenge, Maxime's alliance decided to vote against her at Tribal Council in spite of her being potentially better for their numbers because they prioritized challenge strength for that vote. Though Virginie Jarry received four votes from Catherine and other members of the tribe for her own weakness in challenges, Lisa's black vote indirectly aided Maxime's alliance in successfully voting out Catherine.
