Synopsis[]
The episode opens with Hunter looking at files he found in Victor’s bedroom. He sees the only one not crosses off is Ryan, but he’s never seen Ryan before. He then finds a picture of Emma and wonders who it is.
Jasmine apologizes to Emma, saying she must have been a handfull the night before. Emma says it’s fine and when Jasmine asked fo anything happened, she once again replies no. Emma the invites her to dinner after class. Jasmine says how embarrassing she must’ve been but is glad she didn’t bring up Ryan. She then sees a girl, glaring at her. Jasmine is confused as the girl scoffs at her.
Hailey keeps bringing dogs to Ryan, but he turns down each one, saying that dogs aren’t the answer. Hailey ooints out that Johan doesn’t have anything left to offer them until she offers to bring up Emma. Ryan points out that she has a girlfriend, and Hailey says she doesn’t she why he’s avoiding the easiest solution. She gets frustrated and tells him to just do whatever he wants.
(flashback) Little Emma is playing with toys as Mr. Nam comes to take a teddy bear, saying her brother wants it and that she’s has another toy.
(flashback) Little Emma is being told by Mr. Nam that her parents couldn’t make it for her birthday and that she can just have cake with Ryan.
(flashback) Little Emma is eating alone while all the kids around her are eating with parents. Little Ryan walks up and sits with her and when Emma asks where his parents are, he says his couldn’t make it.
Ryan thinks about how Emma never said when she didn’t like something. They took her favorite doll and she did my even argue. On Her birthday, she had cake at his place looking like she’d cry. He thought that he didn’t want to force anything on her, since she’s already had enough.
Jasminw describes her encounter with the girl to Emma and Victor as they both mention how creepy that is. They then talk about where they should eat and the girl is still spying on them from behind. As Victor makes fun of Jasmine for puking so many times, the girl bites her nails. Jasmine turns around right as she comes up and slaps her. She tells Jasmine she’ll only ever be her substitute and as Emma helps Jasmine up, Victor recognizes her and says her name. Inna.
