Timers were devices used to trigger explosives. A timer was attached to a detonator, which in turn activated the explosives. A timer was only one method of triggering explosives; other methods included by a wire or communicator signal.[2] Timers were part of the standard demolitions equipment carried by Imperial radiation zone assault troopers.[3]
