Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures: R2-D2 is a comic book which was given with a R2-D2 figure. It is part of the Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures series. It adapts events from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, the Secret mission to Tatooine to Luke Skywalker discovering Princess Leia's recording. It is taken directly from Star Wars: The Original Trilogy – A Graphic Novel .

Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the events of the film to be between 0 BBY and 0 ABY. Because the events of the comic take place prior to the Battle of Yavin, the comic must take place in 0 BBY.
