The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe provides in-home care services to Tribal Veterans up to $15,000 USD (fifteen thousand) per fiscal year to assist with bridging the gap in healthcare services and funding.

The purpose of in-home care is to provide short-term assistance to a Tribal Veteran who is recovering from a major medical event, surgery, or in need of hospice/end of life care. The level and type of service is to be determined by the Veteran’s primary care provider (M.D./ARNP) and is based upon temporary impairment due to functional limitations and an inability to perform the normal activities for daily living.

The Veterans In-Home Care benefit is a one-time benefit subject to change at any time based on the availability of funds, as may be determined by resolution of the Tribal Council of the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe.

VA published a final rule in the Federal Register on April 4, 2023, that exempts eligible American Indian and Alaska Native Veterans from copayments for health care and all urgent care visits received on or after January 5, 2022. Veterans seeking copayment exemption should submit copies of VA Form 10-334 and official tribal documentation to receive this new benefit.

The copayment exemption:

• Retroactively reimburses eligible American Indian and Alaska Native Veterans from copayments for health care and all urgent care visits received on or after January 5, 2022.
• Eliminates future copayment collection of copayments for health care and all urgent care visits for eligible American Indian and Alaska Native Veterans.

The Snoqualmie Tribe is providing a free vehicle sharing service for eligible Veterans who reside in the Snoqualmie Valley Area, including Snoqualmie Tribal Members, Casino Team Members, and non-Tribal Member Veterans. The vehicle provided by the Snoqualmie Tribe is for U.S. Military Veterans who need transportation for everyday needs including common errands, VA appointments, and meetings.
