How is everyone? I missed y'all. The conference was great. Traveling.....I loathe it. That may be too weak a word, but more on that later.
We're heading for 'the boy's' house this weekend so the hh can help
with shelves for the twins' room. And speaking of twins we have a date!
The plan is for a C section December 26.
And now for a brief moment of silence. My computer crashed and is at an out-of-state computer hospital, so I'm working off a small, slow moving tablet. To add insult to injury, I have edits which are being done on my small, slow moving tablet.... I hope to be back in business sometime next week. It's not impossible to blog, but it is challenging, so please bear with me while I extend my hiatus.
Hope to hear about everything that's been going on in your lives in a few days. Save up all the good stuff to share with me.
Have a great one.

Early Weekend
I'm heading to Philly today to visit with the daughter and from there hook up with bud/writer Sherry Morris at the NJRW. I'll be back next week, probably posting Tuesday.
Save up all your news to share it with me then. Enjoy yourself. Oh yeah, while looking for temporarily closed signs I ran across these. Saw another one that was pretty fun, but it wasn't language-appropriate....

Feral Cat and Boss's Day
Today is Feral Cat Day. A feral is a cat that has gone wild or is born to a cat that has gone wild. Many of these cats start out as domesticated kitties that have been abandoned by their caregivers and must fend for themselves. Unaltered, they multiple and their offspring multiples. If controlled, these cats can live out their lives in a colony without continuing the feral cycle. I'm a big believer in spay, neuter, release. It's much more humane than the gas chamber. I bet you are too.
Are you a Jackson Galaxy fan? Have you ever watched My Cat From Hell? Jackson is great. Here's a short clip Jackson has done in support of TNR for Alley Cat Allies.
To all the wonderful bosses out there...have a perfect day. And to those not so wonderful...remember who makes you look good.

Easy Smeazy Muffins
My middle name should be Easy. Hmm, that doesn't sound right does it? Anyway, you know what I mean. I like easy. If there's a short cut, especially in the kitchen, I'll take it. Cooking is not my passion. So when a friend gave me this EASY muffin recipe. (Thanks, Gail.) I decided to try it. And since it's the perfect time of year for it, I'm going on the assumption you like easy too, and sharing it with you. The picture is from the first batch, hence the fact that some of them look like baby muffins. I wasn't quite sure how much they'd rise. You can put a healthy dollop in each cup. The second batch, I topped with shaved nuts. Anyhoo....
All you need is a spice or yellow cake mix and a can of pumpkin. Blend the two together. Fill your muffin tins and bake at 325 for 20 to 25 minutes. Easy Smeazy.

Showers, Planes and Monday's Joke
Good Monday to you. Did you have an extraordinary weekend?
The babies made a haul at the shower. They've got things out there now for little ones that I'd never even thought about. I had planned on being practical and getting a Target gift card to help offset the cost of diapers, then I saw the rocking-horse chair and couldn't pass it up. Of course, they only had one, but we have a kid's rocking chair from back in the day when the 'boy and girl' were little so they'll have two rocking chairs.
The best part of the shower...my sister flew in from St. Louis, she arrived at 12:30 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. shower and caught the 7:00 a.m. flight out the next morning. Which meant we all had to haul butt out of bed at 4:45 a.m. But it was really nice of her to come in.
Which cheese isn't yours?

He
stood at the foot of my bed, dark and brooding. This time his eyes didn’t glow
crimson. They were a stormy grey that drew me in like the crash of tidal waves.
“What are you doing here?” I asked in my dream.
“Checking
to see if you’re all right.” His voice
floated like soft velvet in my head. I watched his mouth. His teeth were strong
and white but I saw no fangs.
“Why?”
“I have no idea.” He frowned.
“Who
are you?” I stared fascinated.
“Just
call me your guardian angel.”
“More
like guardian demon.” I plucked at my sheet.
He
laughed. The sound of bells wound through my head. “Isn’t that an oxymoron?”
“Normally,
but I don’t think so in your case. Am I
dreaming?”
“Yes,
Suzanne. Sleep now.”
“I
am tired,” I agreed and closed my eyes.

Corn Maze
I don't get it. Just down the road from us is a corn maze and it really draws a crowd. I grew up in the Midwest, surrounded by corn, and I just don't see the draw. An English Maze, yeah, that would be cool, but a cornfield? I'm trying to figure out if it's a southern thing. Do you have mazes, of the cornfield variety, where you live? Ever been through one?
