Karai Bari Island is an island in the New World currently occupied by Buggy's Delivery, which has since integrated into the Cross Guild.[1][2]

Geography[]

The island is dotted with palm trees, and has mountains in the background. The pirate dispatch organization Buggy's Delivery has set up a large town named Buggy Town (バギー街, Bagī-gai?) which resembles a gathering of circus tents.[1] This Town is now the base of operation for the new organization, Cross Guild.[2]

History[]

At an unknown point during the timeskip, the Buggy and Alvida Alliance set up a Pirate Dispatch Company, the Buggy's Delivery on the island, and it appears to have become their base of operations.[1]

When the Seven Warlords system was abolished, the island became surrounded by Marine battleships who were sent to apprehend Buggy and his crew. However, Crocodile came and sank the fleet, intending to have Buggy repay a huge loan in order to start his new company, the Cross Guild. Buggy, having no money to pay, offered to have his own company integrate into the upcoming one, but his overzealous followers distributed a flyer with Buggy as the foremost member of the Guild. Although displeased at first, Crocodile and Dracule Mihawk agreed to use Buggy as a figurehead leader, thus transforming the base of operation for Buggy's Delivery to that of Cross Guild's.[2]

Trivia[]

  • The name of the island is derived from the Japanese word "karaibari", which means "false bravado" in English, fitting the way Buggy has conducted himself as of late.
