Some time in the last two years, Trafalgar Law learned about a Poneglyph that was on Hachinosu. Law planned to infiltrate the island by hijacking a smuggling vessel disguised as a ship from an unspecified country; however, he accidentally hijacked the Rocky Port, a real passenger ship. At the time, the king and several nobles of said country were traveling aboard it.[4]
Once the Rocky Port arrived on Hachinosu, a major battle between Law and the resident pirates ensued. This prompted two other parties to join the fight, MarinecaptainKoby and Blackbeard, with both having come to Hachinosu for their own separate reasons. Law, Koby and Blackbeard then started cooperating in an alliance of convenience, with Koby protecting innocent citizens during the incident[2][3] while Blackbeard defeated Ochoku, the then ruler of the island. Law also stole the hearts of 100 pirates, later sending them to the World Government.[6]
Aftermath[]
After sending the 100 hearts to the Government as proof of his capabilities, Law was officially acknowledged as a Warlord of the Sea, as well as the incident's mastermind. Koby, for his actions of bravery, was labelled a hero and became widely-known.[2] At the same time, Ochoku was dethroned in his rule over Hachinosu, with control of the island being transferred to Blackbeard.[3] Their battle caused significant damage to the Rocky Port, with it only being fully repaired recently.[5]
It is unknown what happened to the king and noblemen of the country that was involved in dealings with Hachinosu, or the status and whereabouts of Ochoku.
