Shy Guy (Explorer) is a high-end tier variant of Shy Guy, and is from Mario Kart Tour. They are from Tour's rendition of GBA Sunset Wilds, wherein yellow, light-blue, and pink explorer Shy Guys walk around near the end of the track. If hit, they will cause the driver to spin out.

This is very different from the Shy Guys in the original version of Sunset Wilds, which were dressed like Native Americans and grabbed onto the drivers kart.
As of writing, there are only two Explorer Shy Guys playable in Mario Kart Tour, being yellow and light-blue. Light-blue Shy Guy (Explorer) uses the Lucky Seven as their special item, and Yellow Shy Guy (Explorer) uses the Hammer as their special item. Both variants were introduced on February 8, 2023 and are both High-End tier.
