The Berserk Leech Hydroe is a giant plant creature that serves as the final Boss of Hey! Pikmin. The creature used to be a regular plant until the Sparklium Converter of the S.S. Dolphin II altered the parasitic urges of a Leech Hydroe turning the parasitized plant into this enormous monster.

Battle

1st form

The Berserk Leech Hydroe start of burried in the ground with only its three Venus flytrap-like heads. The Berserk Leech Hydroe will start by launching balls of poisons from one of its heads, the opposite head will then repeat the attack, once its done, the central head will try to strike Captain Olimar if the attack fail, the head will be stuck in the ground and vulnerable. After taking any damage, both heads on the sides will throw multiple balls simultaneously. Once its full health bar is depleated, the Berserk Leech Hydroe will switch to its 2nd form.

2nd form

The Berserk Leech Hydroe will come out of the ground and reveal its four legs. The creature will start to try to crush Olimar with its front paws. The weak point of these paws is located underneath them and Olimar must wait until the Berserk Leech Hydroe raise both paws at the same time to throw his Pikmin on the legs' weak point. If the paws take enough damage, the Berserk Leech Hydroe will be toppled and its main head will be vulnerable if the main head is damaged, the other heads will starts to launch balls of poison at Olimar. Once its full health bar is depleated, the Berserk Leech Hydroe will switch to its 3rd form.

3rd form

The Berserk Leech Hydroe will reveal its wings and start to fly from the right to the left launching the group on the left. The creature will begins to launch three balls of poison at once multiple times before flying off. Olimar is able to throw Pikmin at its body when it is on the screen, if the creature takes any damage, it will try to attack Olimar with its main head before launching balls of poison on the field. Once its full health bar is depleated, the Berserk Leech Hydroe will finally be defeated.

"Normally, this is a harmless species of plant life. We only found out later that it grew vicious because the Sparklium Converter fell from the ship during our crash landing, falling onto the Leech Hydroe as it slumbered. The influx of energy sent its parasitic urges out of control. I know I'm to blame, ultimately, but I'm glad I could put a stop to it—with the help of the Pikmin and the S.S. Dolphin II.
